This is what the neighborhood needed. 🍻
While the space may appear small from the outside there is plenty of room at the bar, which has the most comfortable bar stools my bum has ever sat upon, as well as standard height tables making them wheelchair accessible. The menu is extensive enough for someone to find what they would like pub food wise, and the staff is happy to work with food allergies as able. Their burgers are fantastic, as is the prime rib dip! The chips and salsa are as fresh as you can get. Fridays, they have a prime rib special that I regret not ordering as it looked and smelled fantastic and large enough to feed an army.
Three pool tables are in good shape as well as a TouchTunes jukebox ready to crank out your favorites; the MO Lottery is also available. Tons of TVs and the staff is willing to accommodate what is on if they're able to, including local sports (Chiefs, Royals, Sporting).
If outside is more your style or you need a little puff, there is a covered patio with picnic tables. A few TVs are facing the patio!
The staff is personable and always kind. I haven't had so many people tell me hello and glad to see me back in a long time. It's nice.
I do wish there was a beer and liquor list; draft, cans, and bottles are available, including a few ciders and seltzers. My only complaint is there being no Guinness; however, there are two other porters available at the time of writing this. Otherwise, the whiskey prices are absolutely fair based on Jameson and Wild Turkey pours.

Read moreThis place is in decline. I ordered a prime rib sandy and chili. $23 about. They had register issues when I picked up the food. I got back to work and it wasn't chili. Called them and they said they couldn't figure out how to refund the soup. I'd have to come in. I said if I have to come in, I'll be wanting a refund on the full order. She said she would get with her manager and call me back. From 128pm to 144pm I waited. No callback. So I had to call them again. By now the food is cold. She said sorry, she was busy and the manager left. There were TWO people in the place when I grabbed my food. I told her that I'd be coming back after work for a refund ,as I originally said in my first conversation. She said they figured out how to refund the soup. I said it's too late, I was waiting and now the food is cold. She bickered with me and woudn't see that I did nothing wrong as I didn't mess up the order and I didn't skip calling back a customer timely. She suggested I didn't order chili because she wrote down what she heard. Manager will be back some time, likely 6pm or later. I can't wait around and had to tell her to have the manager call my cell. I doubt he will. I also offered for them to remake me the sandwich for supper but she didn't like the sound of that either. The place is likely going out of business. Poor service, poor fulfillment. Avoid this place...
Read moreWow, I love this place. The theming was hilarious, gnomes all over the place..: but with a biker bar vibe?! Yeah, kinda crazy but in the best way. Now for the real reason you come here: The Food! I think my friend said it best- “They’ve got someone’s grandma held hostage in that kitchen!” The food was delicious, well seasoned and full of flavor without being greasy. We were a larger group so we started with The Gnome Stools and Caps (fried mushrooms and stuffed jalapeños) and then the loaded fries. Wonderful! Then we had to try the Chowder of the Day: Broccoli Cheddar. Perfectly seasoned. No need to add pepper. For our entrees, I went with the Fish and Chips (excellent batter and not much), my friend got the Chicken Fried Chicken w/ mashed potatoes in country gravy and green beans (had bacon in it, as it should!) My sister-in-law had the Ruben, which was the Thursday special with fries. It was pretty large sandwich! And my brother got the Southwest Cheeseburger with fries. Highlights: the sauces all tasted fresh/homemade. They have beer cheese sauce and queso on the menu, which… they didn’t NEED to do that, but they’re dedicated to craft. Love that. Any new restaurant that was opening next to Mr. Lee’s was going to have to bring their A-Game and The Thirsty Gnome did NOT disappoint. Also, if you sit at the bar, they have super comfortable bar stools AND chargers/usb ports with purse...
