Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Katy

I recently visited Rita’s, and I have to say, I will be back!

Food: The custard and ice flavors are delicious. The flavors of ice rotate but two of us got different flavors and they were both really good.

Service: The moment we walked in, we were greeted with welcoming smiles. The staff was knowledgeable and eager to help, offering suggestions and patiently answering all my questions about the flavors (and even letting me try a few). They were even kind to my puppy waiting outside!

Management needs to do better. Three young people working. Boys were busy restocking-great. Someone needs to sweep and wash tables. Before we came in, there was no one in here. Plenty of time to do some light tidying. Worst part of my experience…the girl washed her hands then proceeded to put on lip gloss…WITH HER FINGER! You’re in food service this should not happen. Then she grabbed three cones after touching her mouth. On to the water ice…excellent as always. I’m from Jersey so I’m well-aware of the Rita’s quality. I absolutely loooove frozen custard but the frozen custard at Rita’s is on another level. It is well worth the price and I am so glad to have a delicious dessert option on this side of town!! It is a definite must-visit - I sampled some of their Ice flavors and they were all pretty amazing, you really can’t go wrong.
