I was starving after arriving on Kauai, passed by this food truck on my way back to the airport to pick up my friend and decided to do this instead of fast food.
Located in a parking lot, they seem to have a rather permanent presence with the inclusion of a tent offering shade for about three tables. Be prepared to share the space with Kauai’s ubiquitous mascot (see photo of chicken on table … not the bbq skewers, but our new feathered friend).
My friend and I split a shrimp pad thai and two bbq skewers … that and a couple of Doet Cokes totaled about $31, about what you’d spend in Honolulu.
We were starving so it was pretty good. The pad thai was on the sweet side and the shrimp were plump and juicy - wish there was more of it, but I get that everything’s pricey these days. BBQ chicken didn’t seem marinated but was sauced on the grill or immediately afterward. It was a well...
Read moreFamily fun and probably family run. This place gets a special 5star review because they deserve a bump for just being consistent and reliable.
There are several Anatta’s Thai food trucks on the island. One in Kapaa and Poipu. There #1 recommendation is there BBQ Chicken Stick. Order that with everything else on the menu. It will raise your experience to another level.
I always order Veggie Fried Rice and the Summer Rolls, 4.5stars. Go with Yellow Curry at 4stars and keep going from there! Try it all and bring the family.
Call your order in for the easiest experience, but they are such nice people you’ll appreciate the 5star friendly service at the window.
I cannot say enough for this food trailer parked in the corner of the lot. You cannot miss it, and you should definitely stop.
Look for the red...

Their pad Thai is on the sweet side, but we like that, and we ordered ours with shrimp (came with four large ones in our order).
I got the green curry and it comes with two large scoops of rice and a large portion of the curry. Definitely enough for at least two meals/people alone. Only thing was that I found it a little strange that my chicken was also dyed/tinted green.
My husband got the yellow curry with chicken and he liked it, so did our two year old. It was mild in spice but flavorful.
My children love the chicken satay and the peanut sauce is tasty with it!
We always stop by for the Thai tea, easiest and tastiest one that we’ve...
