I have had Rob's Good Times Grill bookmarked for several years so, we were so excited to finally get to come here. One of the best things is they take reservations which I called and made earlier in the day.
We were promptly seated upon arrival. The first thing that fascinated my girls was the live music being played. They loved it. When the beautiful Hula dancer started dancing, both my girls were mesmerized. They couldn't take their eyes off of her. My 5 year old was so fascinated, she begged me to ask her how she put flowers on her hair which the beautiful lady graciously answered.
Service was quick and efficient and Shelly took such good care of us. My girls loved her. Hubby got the Strawberry Patron Shot and he liked it. I kept seeing the tuna poke nachos in most of the reviews, so we hard to order it. It was just as delicious as all the reviews stated.
We ordered the Misoyaki Salmon for my toddlers to split and they absolutely loved it but I think they loved their dad's Ono plate even more.
I got the Hawaiian plate and it was absolutely delicious. My girls really enjoyed the Kalua pork from my plate.
So I was about to submit this review yesterday and then something serendipitous happened, that too in line waiting for gas at Costco. We met Scooby there. The universe brought him and us together when we both needed it the most. Scooby told us he works at Rob's Good Times Grill and invited us to come back. We went back last night and he treated us like we are long lost family. We will never forget the kindness he showed us.
This beautiful place is going to be a must stop for us everytime we visit....
Read moreWe chose this place based on the positive reviews. We are pretty laid back folks but our experience was far from great. They brought us our drinks which were ontap seltzer but they we flat as a bike tire. Unfortunately our server never checked in on us to see if all was ok… I finished mine regardless and she never asked if I wanted another drink. It was Sushi Night! I was excited and ordered the Spicy Ahi Rainbow roll, some one eventually brought out a roll after awhile but it wasn’t the roll I ordered. It was not spicy at all and had cucumber, which my roll should not have had. I at 1/2 because again, our server failed to check on us as I finished my 1/2 of wrong roll while gazing into my empty glass 😞. The sushi was mushy and did not hold together at all… a spoon might’ve worked, chopsticks were a pain.
My wife’s food was pretty tasty and the crab wonton was really yummy! Saving grace.
After an hour or so, our server finally checked in. I asked here what roll they brought out… she said “rainbow”. Well there is more than 1 roll on the menu called rainbow and I did not get the correct one…. I told her it has no spice at all and she said “want me to bring you the spicy sauce, that’s the only difference”. I politely declined and just asked for the bill. We took off asap, disappointed to say the least. She did not apologize or offer anything for the issues. We got the vibe that since we were obviously tourist, she didn’t care. This is speculation but the vibe we felt. She was very attentive to the other guest but never stopped by to check on us. Welp, there...
Read moreI never leave reviews and certainly not bad ones.
Two stars instead of one because 1 of 3 appetizers was edible. Actually the mushroom bombers were BOMB! We stopped for a few apps and drinks before our flight. I got the drink special, a raspberry basil sangria, it was extremely watered down and barely had any flavor. App 2 was the duck confit and smoked gouda Flatbread with arugula. I wish I saved the picture both presentation and taste were awful. With so many bold, rich flavors I expected a nice Flatbread with a dash of each ingredient. It was LOADED with all which was sooooo greasy, rich and inedible. When it came out all you could see was a heaped pile of raw arugula leaving you to wonder if there was even Flatbread present. After barely touching that and letting the waitress know it was I edible she just giggled and asked if we were finished with it. We then proceeded (still hungry) to order the garlic Parmesan fries. Yuck!!! The fries were soggy and served in so much grease our entire plate was a pool of fryer grease. We proceeded to let the waitress k ow this was inedible and asked for a check. She giggled and brought a full check not even acknowledging that we were obviously dissatisfied. I sincerely hope this is not their status quo and we just ordered...
