Intrinsic Bakery — Restaurant in Kearny

I love this place. I live two blocks down and one over from this place and it’s a serious problem for my waistline. I have to put a lot of effort not to go more than once a week for my large green tea bubble tea with regular bobas. They mix the drink on a shaker before pouring it into the plastic cup with only a few ice cubes. I love it since I hate when places put too much ice and then you have watery tea :( they have the popping fruit bobas and green tea jelly if you don’t want regular tapioca pearls. They also have tons of milk and water based bubble tea flavors! You can always adjust the sugar level but I found that the way they make it normally is not too sweet. It’s a café so they also have coffees, espresso drinks, and hot chocolate. For food they have house baked cookies, cupcakes, bars, mousses, and mochi waffles. They also have sandwiches and salads! Cozy spot!! Perfect for coffee(the pictures at the bottom explain how they’re made!), tea(hot or bubble tea!), and delicious eats!! The mochi waffles are a sensation your tastebuds will savor!

On a nice day, eat outside at a table or at one of the high tops inside. Or cuddle up with a tea at the front window and have a croissant. Whatever works for you. :)

Staff is super friendly and welcoming! It’s like walking into your best-friend’s kitchen for some tea.

Oh, and tip! Totally try to park on the street!! This wonderfully old school town still has meters that take change!!

I am so glad we stumbled upon this amazingly delicious bakery! I ordered the Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache and OMG, one of the best slices of chocolate cake I have ever had. The cake was moisture, not too sweet and super rich! Oh, and cant forget about the Iced Americano (which was a great balance with the cake) and the owner/staff were absolutely amazing and made us feel so comfortable during our experience. We came from Norther East Jersey but this place was well worth the drive and we will be visiting...
