Significant other has heard of this food truck on social media recently, and so we had to give it a try. Redline is tucked deep into a strip mall parking lot off NE Lancaster near the Les Schwab, in the same parking lot as Lucky's Pub #3. We ordered the Double Smashburger, Quesabirria Combo and an Asada Street Taco.
Wait time for food was about 20 minutes but that's because it was made fresh to order. We took it home which was another 15 minute drive home, so to say that this food held up and was still hot/good temp was awesome. First and foremost, the Quesabirria was EXCEPTIONAL! The flavor profile of the meat and cheese was fantastic and in my opinion did not need the consomme. My significant other loved the consomme though and felt it brought more to it, whereas I thought it countered it. The Asada here is average at best and so I wouldn't advise going here for their street tacos.
The controversial review here is for their Smashburger, as a lot of folks recently were comparing it to Runaway Kitchen and Slangers. We both agree that this is the third best burger we've had in this area, which is a pretty long list and to come in third for us is a big achievement.
To recap: best burgers are #1 RUNAWAY KITCHEN, #2 SLANGERS, #3 REDLINE TACOS.
When you close your eyes and take a bite, it immediately reminded us of peak 90's flame-grilled Whoppers but even better than that. This is a solid burger that we'd definitely come back for, especially at a $7 price point.
All in all, $15 for the Quesabirria and $7 for a double Smash is a great price for a great tasting meal and we'd highly recommend. This is a gem in the NE...
Read moreI went today to try new tacos I ordered 4 Asada tacos and 2 Birria First and far most nasty tacos my asada tacos tasted like a taco packet was used and tasted garlicky didn’t taste as good as I’ve had! My birria tacos tasted like full on garlic mixed with some bbq sauce didint taste anywhere near the ones I’ve had from 5 star to 3 start taco shops and restaurants I asked for salsa verde/ green sauce and salsa de Aguacate / avocado sauce both of them tasted anywhere near as how the naturally taste they don’t have a hint of lime and the green sauce had no spice to it had no hint of green tomatoes nor cilantro it tasted like salt and pepper mixed with green veggies the avocado sauce had no avocado taste it tasted to plain and had no taste all I could tasted was cilantro I preferred beans and rice and the beans were good had a nice soft texture and the rice had no flavor it tasted plain enough it tasted like white rice with no taste just salt my birria tacos has no sauce nor did they offer so I’m assuming they don’t have any witch I’ve never ran into that before it’s normally offered I also had to pay 1$ for 5 sauces that had no flavor not only that each taco is 3$ and they are tiny tacos I’ve never ran into that as well as a taco person Sadly I rate this a 1 star I don’t recommend I’ll probably update once I go Thier in the next 2 years in total I spent 22 for bad food...
Read moreWow! Google isn't lying. Best of the best! Well worth the stop! Its worth the jaunt through town to get to this little gem! Go see them! Family owned and run, they are really doing a great job! We stopped by on our drive back up to BC and ordered some taco plates and birria crunchy tacos. They were amazing! 12/10! And cost efficient for a family lunch.
Most amazing though is the family you are supporting through buying. Hard working people who are making absolutely delicious food. Serving their community well, that's for sure. There was no official seating yet, but the curb on a sunny day sure worked out for our family.
Thanks Melissa. Many best wishes to you and your family, and the business!
Go here! Eat here! Don't even hesitate! Pull off the highway right...
