Wish I could give it zero. The waiter was friendly but that was the only decent part of the visit.
I ordered the Triple Egg Dare Ya, and my partner ordered the Fried Steak and Eggs. Our food came out in about 15 minutes, but I was still missing my French toast, pancakes, and the extra toast I ordered, waiter didn't make sure we had everything, and another 10 minutes went by until I was able to ask for the remainder of my food. At this point the manager came out and apologized, but only took 30% off of our check. They were NOT that busy and had multiple waiters.
My partner ate his 3 pancakes and maybe 1/3 of the steak, and said it was cold in the center and the gravy was like jello.
I told the manager that I really didn't want my food at all at that point. The eggs had gone cold and I had ONLY eaten the hash browns.
The customer service is disgraceful. I apologized for complaining in the first place to the manager but now I'm very angry that we weren't really taken care of. Leaving still paying $30 for food we didn't eat is unacceptable. Photos included of what we left there, after regretfully paying the bill.
Edit: we would have been MORE than willing to pay for his meal, maybe a side of hash browns because I ate mine, and the drinks. We should not have been charged when I did not get to enjoy my meal, and after telling the manager that I did not want it, and did not want boxes to take anything home. They gladly just took our money.
I drove away starving and parked elsewhere to cry about it because I felt guilty that my partner had paid for me for nothing; and to figure out what else I wanted to eat. Went to weis, got some pierogies, and it was much better than this place. Mrs. T's never disappoints. Went way downhill since moving from their old location by Days Inn. I had been here a few years ago with my parents and the sausage and other items came out cold, and you could hear the cook slamming things around in the back of house. I should have known.
I'm also seeing that on a lot of the negative reviews here, these poor people are only getting a "sorry, hope to see you again in the future" or "we'll figure it out on our end" instead of a proper solution and this really shows where their mind is at about customers. Please don't go here on the off chance you have an experience like ours.
The Selinsgrove location is WAY better, I've never...
Read moreHave been there 6-7 times since opening in October and have done take out 3-4 times also..... EVERY take out order has been incorrect, even the ONE I ask clerk to actually open and review to be sure it's correct ! I was JUST there, one couple in front of me. HOSTESS seated them then came back to stand off by kitchen talking to other servers. Saw me, never acknowledged me....I waited, and waited......I left after 5 mins. I can spend my money ANYWHERE. Since the move, new personal AND Management, have given this customer the worst service I have received from PERKINS IN YEARS. .....I am fairly a regular, but I am HEAVILY considering not stepping foot in there again. Younger, less seasoned staff, crowded conditions, noise level at times is horrible, and management appears not to manage. Half the time you don't see them anywhere. I really DONT like complaining.....I am just stating the facts....very poor service, very poor. I waitresses for years, as did both my children...I worked in customer service all my life,,and have NEVER seen such a restaurant. I am sorry to say ALL of this because I used to praise the former restaurant, recommend to family and friends...it's very...
Read moreFood delivered to the table looked nothing menu pictures! My Everything Omlet was burnt on edges, paper-thin, miniscule vegetables. Again, nothing like picture on the menu. Hashbrowns were raw and cold on the inside of the portion. The cinnamon roll was terrible as it must have been in the display case for several days. The sugar in the frosting on top had crystallized. When warmed in the microwave, the frosting on top was hard and crusty. My family and I ate at Perkins for over 3 decades after church-every Sunday and occasionally during the week when Perkins offered their bread bowl salad and soup. Today was the first time we had eaten at Perkins in 3 years as all locations in the Nortwest have closed. We came with family we were visiting for breakfast before church. UPDATE: 7/23/2023 The General Manager reached out to me to discuss my concerns. It is refreshing to know that there are people who truly care about the food and service their employees deliver. I am impressed with the follow-up AND follow through from this General Manager! We will come back to this Perkins location in the near future. This GM is a Class Act. He genuinely cares about...
