Main Street Tap & Grill — Restaurant in Kenai

I visited the Main Street Tap and Grill for the first time on July 31, 2021, and I arrived at 8 pm to meet a friend. When I walked in they were not busy maybe a couple folks at the bar and a half dozen tables with guests. There was a live band and they were good.

Looking for a place to sit was on your own as there was not a hostess to greet and seat you and many tables were filled with dirty dishes. The booth I wanted to sit in was in need of cleaning and the lady at the bar gave me a cloth to bus and wipe the table.

After about 10 minutes of waiting a waitress came with menus. I asked if they had beer on tap and she was not willing or able to tell me what beers were on tap or point them out on the menu. I just picked a beer and then my friend arrived.

We were enjoying our visit and I observed other people coming into the bar looking for a table. A young couple who sat next to us had to bus their own table.

We ordered a seafood appetizer and another round of drinks. The food was timely but it was mediocre fried bar food. I after waiting for quite a while I got up and went to the bar to pick up our second round of drinks because they would not deliver them to the table.

Overall I have to say the Main Street Tap and Grill was unimpressive, disorganized, unprofessional, dirty and I do not recommend this to anyone. $60 spent and it was a waste of money for what we got. I am glad that I had the wonderful company of my friend. I zeroed the tip since they did nothing to earn one. They should have taken 20% off the bill to compensate me for...

Went there yesterday to watch the Bears/Eagles playoff game. That experience was good. However, tonight I called ahead a SIMPLE order of their "pound of fries" for $7, was quoted 10 minutes by the lady on the phone. Great! Showed up 20 minutes later, paid, and waited.... and waited.... and waited..... 15 more minutes... Tried to be patient, they weren't very busy maybe 40% capacity estimate at most? Finally walked back up to the bar and told the lady I needed to cancel the order, explained I phoned in the order 35 minutes ago and had to get back to work, needed to get the hell out of there and back to work. I even showed her the phone call timestamp on my call history from when I had originally called it in.. She said she'd go check on it, comes back and claims they just came up, hands me the box. She didn't ask if I needed any sauce (I would want honey mustard), but I also didn't ask because who knows how long I'd have to wait just for that! I don't know if I'll be back for a third visit... Disappointing is an understatement for a basic order of fries to take 35...

4 ladies working, myself and 2 others at our table and another table of 4 in the restaurant. The Lady took our order. 10 minutes go by still no drinks or silverware brought to us, 10 minutes later our appetizer came still no drinks, 3 girls standing behind the bar on their phones, I waved to our waitress she comes over and said “what?” I asked can we get our drinks please? 5 minutes later she starts working on our drinks, by the time they came to our table we finished our appetizers and started on our cold cheeseburgers and over cooked French fries. We finished our 2 cokes and a lemonade asked for a refill and never got them. The service was terrible. 2nd time going there and twice disappointed, thought the first time was just cause they were busy, but it’s clear they just don’t care. 75 dollars for 2 cheeseburgers and a Main Street Club, 2 sodas and a lemonade with the loaded tatortotts. And I still left a 15% tip I will never go back and will tell everyone never to go to Main...
