First, let me preface this review: I grew up in Kenai. This was our go-to pizza. I left the area years ago, and had not been back for more than two decades. I could not get this pizza out of my mind. I have been to gourmet pizza restaurants that cooked in brick ovens, I've had barbequed pizza, I've tried it all. This is, without doubt, the best pizza I've ever had. My wife and I talked about it when we were there... What exactly is it that makes the difference? The crust. They must let the dough rest overnight so that it develops the delicious flavor. Most pizzas you just throw the crust out. With this pizza, you can start with it. Plus, it is substantial enough to support the toppings. The sauce is perfect too - no sugar, thank you! High quality ingredients... What more can you ask for? I was really hoping that this wouldn't just be a disappointment - after all, can you really expect to revisit a great childhood memory after 20 years? Apparently, in this case, the answer is yes. Thank you Pizza Paradisos.

We came in for a late dinner, but they were still pretty busy. They have a very big menu with a wide variety of Italian and Mexican foods. We all ordered different things and everyone thought their food was very good. My Alaskan Cobb salad with smoked salmon could have used a tad more dressing but we were in a hurry so I did not ask for more. It was nice that there was a pitcher of water on the table, and the ambiance was fine. I have just two smallish negatives: The meals are pretty pricey. Second, the service, while prompt, could have been friendlier. We asked about some of the dishes and they didn't really have much to say other than the fact that "the cooks may not be happy" since we had come in late. And they all seemed just tired and not necessarily happy to be there. Maybe it was a particularly hard day for them all? I'm giving grace and sticking with a four star.

Came to dinner with my family and had a wonderful experience! Our waitress was very polite and so down to earth. It’s October and they have decorated the restaurant with excellent Halloween decorations making it feel like the season. It was so fun to see and they did such a great job! 👏🏻 We got halibut bite appetizers which were so yummy. The breading was perfect, not soggy at all! Then we ordered a few dishes of seafood pasta and ooooh my was it mouth watering! Everyone loved their dish and our waitress kept out drinks filled which was nice. I would highly recommend coming to this place!

While dining options in Kenai are few and far between, please do Yourself a favor and avoid this location if possible until reviews start to show consistent positive experiences as a result of the management and ownership understanding and rectifying their food/service shortfalls.

Was born and raised in Kenai and Paradiso’s was a consistent and beloved dining experience for me and my family for 30+ years. Recently returned for a visit and was so very disappointed to see how far this place has fallen from grace. We ordered 2 Seafood Arrabiatta Pasta’s and a Caesar Salad to go. Got back to our lodge to eat and found that neither of our pasta dishes had any scallops in them, and were effectively half the size of what they once were. Missing protein is a fairly big deal given their online menu from their own website lists the inclusions as Halibut, Shrimp, and Scallops. And at $39 each, I expect the order to include all those items. Then we found the Caesar Salad was sent with absolutely no dressing. Called the restaurant to explain our disappointment and give them an opportunity to make it right in one way or another. Was abruptly put on hold by the hostess and forced to wait for the manager, who took no accountability, claiming “they don’t have scallops and she didn't make or pack that salad, sorry.” No attempt to address the issue at hand was made, or true apologies extended. Your own Website claims this menu item features scallops, so if you no longer have scallops, you must update that menu listing. In the interim, it’s false advertisement of a menu item and I have to second guess how accurate menu descriptions for everything else truly are. I don't typically take the time to write reviews, but this manager’s indifference and failure to provide some semblance of proper customer service in the face of clear failures wasn’t something I could let slide. Please work on...

We called our order in about 45 mins prior to arriving, when we arrived, it still wasn't ready so we waited outside for about 10 minutes. Went back in and the waitress told us that it was still in the oven. So we proceeded to wait. Finally she brings out one pizza... While still waiting almost another 20 minutes, the waitress kept ignoring us, when I tried to ask what the hold up was, she went into the kitchen and never came back out. About 15 more minutes later she's comes out and says there's a problem with the oven. She never asked if we wanted to have a seat to wait or if there was anything she could get us or do. Almost an hour and a half has went by since placing order and finally the second pizza comes out. Still we haven't received the rest of our order. We also had 2 separate orders of cheese sticks. Waiting about 20 more minutes she brings out one box of cheese sticks. I looked confused, she said is some wrong, I said yes we have 2 orders. She said oh I put them in the same box. 🤦‍♀️ Well this order was going to 2 separate households. So I told her, she got an attitude about it, and went to get another box. By this time our 1st pizza has been sitting for an hour. The service was like I've never seen before. We were not offered a refund or discount on almost a $90 order. Won't be visiting this business again. Once we got home, the pizza that went to my house was black on the bottom and soggy. Disgusting. My kids didn't even eat it and they'll usually eat anything....

Paradisos is a restaurant that has been on the Peninsula for a long time and owned/cared for by a local family. It is one of my favorites because of how hard the staff work as well as the fact that there are not many other places that offer their services here. Once in awhile something might be forgotten in an order, but the staff are always pleasant and fun characters the times I have been inside in person and the restaurant is vibrant. If I had one suggestion as a long time customer, it would be nice to see more genuinely Greek dinner options on the menu or to have some new choices more often like orange blossom pie, bougatsa or even beetroot salad and mousaka, but they do offer a lot already. I would say they have become something of a local steak and pasta house with Mexican-American options if I had to summarize their menu in a nutshell. Their delivery is also very accommodating and fast. 🥰 I appreciate the effort they took to deliver my food since I am currently held up at home thanks to an injured knee. They're very wonderful and there's always a bit of...
