RiverShack Kenner — Restaurant in Kenner

I went here on a Saturday when they advertised boiled crawfish. We checked with the hostess to make sure they still had crawfish before being seated and were told yes. I went with a group of 4 adults and we each ordered 4 pounds. After we put our order in, our server came up to us and said they only had enough for 2 orders (no big deal, myself and my brother-in-law ordered something else). My burger and his chicken sandwich were fine, but nothing special,

Another 10 minutes went by and our server came back and told us that they no no longer have crawfish. This was completely unacceptable and my wife and sister ended up not ordering anything. Our server was a young girl and she was very unprofessional and seemed to not like working there and said that "we suck" (talking about the restaurant).

We ordered two appetizers and never received one but was still charged for it. Thankfully our server took it off the bill and gave us a discount for our horrible experience.

It is a shame because the place is super nice and big but the service is horrible. There are also only 5 beers on tap which is also super disappointing. I think they should reconsider their business model and operate as a bar with food service with table numbers and just have food runners. They are trying to operate as a restaurant and it is clearly...

My parents went here on Monday the 3rd and walked out because of the absolutely terrible service. When they arrived nobody greeted them, and when someone finally did they were ushered to the party room because the waitress automatically assumed they were with a party that came in after them. They ordered their drinks and waited forever in the cold party room. They finally got up and went to get better seats and the aforementioned party guests arrived. They chose seats in the interior of the restaurant and were questioned as to why they moved, and informed of them thinking they were party guests. At no time did anyone ask them if they were. They then ordered onion rings, and those came out, but their drinks still had not arrived almost 20 minutes later, and they were never given utensils or plates for the onion rings. They finally ordered their food and then had to watch as the kitchen churned out plate after plate of food for the party room, while theirs was still not out half an hour later. They finally became fed up and decided to leave. Never have they felt so pushed aside and insulted for the higher profit customers. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Sunday, a large party of 11, five were kids ranging from ages twelve to three. We were asked to wait for about five minutes so they could clear some tables for us, no big deal. While we waited one of the waitresses was so nice to ask if the cake I was holding needed to be refrigerated and if we wanted anything to drink. As soon as our table was ready we were taken around the front of the building to the opposite side. We had the best table! The kids were able to run free and play connect four and draw with chalk in the courtyard completely in our line of vision, and guys had a tv to watch football. Our waiter, Jaime,(hope I got your name right because you deserve this shoutout!) was on point! He was very patient with our indecisive children, was very knowledgeable of the menu, and was very attentive to our needs! The appetizers and entree’s were spaced out perfectly! Food was amazing, wait staff amazing, atmosphere was amazing! Bathrooms were so clean you would think it was opening day! The entire family agreed that tonight’s dinner at the Rivershack was the best dining experience we’ve had in a very long time! We will definitely be going back for all of our birthday...
