I came here in April 2021 and this was the second bar I was at, but this is the first one that took the time to make me feel at home. Most of the patrons were from this area, but it never cease to amaze me how many people from other areas find this place and love the experience that they have when they are here. People from Chicago, Florida, Indiana, and other regions of this vast land seem to home in to this bar, and after all these months I can understand why. It's the staff and the patrons, it's the feel of being welcomed regardless of where your from, its the feel of just being with family and friends.
Rootbeers is so close to the airport that many stop in for a beer or cocktail before flying out or after flying in to New Orleans International. This bar does not serve food, but if your here on a weekend food may be available because the feeling of Southern hospitality comes alive and many will bring something to share with others! Here in the south we want you to feel at home, sounds strange coming from me, a man that spent the last 40years in Minnesota.
