Miss Raices Café first impressions. Jay was extremely kind and ensured that I had all the information I needed on the menu and how they take value in homemade cooking. I really appreciate the kindness that was shown. There was a lot of respect in this establishment. I was unsure of a drink and decided to pass, yet they let me try a delicious homemade hibiscus water, with a lot of love put into it! I was very thankful as I was quite thirsty, but don’t tend to buy drinks very often. This was good business, very much appreciated my friend. Now let me tell you right now. I got nothing but tamales when I walked in here. THEY HIT IT OUT THE PARK. That flavor deserves love in the community that can only be shown in person baby. Real seasoned food is a blessing and y’all did that. Try every salsa they got. You’ll be happy you did. Chicken, Pork and Jalapeno and Cheese Tamales at a reasonable price. That love in the food was FELT. Keep doing your thing. Much love to you and...
Read moreTried this place out for the first time and I can’t wait to go back already. Everything is handmade, fresh, and delicious. The flavor and texture of the masa in the sopes is beyond anything I have tried around the Tri-Cities. No hard, stale, or bland sope shells here. The flautas were perfectly fried to a golden brown color and not overly greasy either. The ratio of chicken to tortilla combined with the crunchiness make each bite taste exquisite. One of the things I loved the most was the tomato broth/sauce that goes with the flautas and sopes. It took me back about 30 years to the last time I tried it in Colima, MX.
The main eating area is a bit small but feels cozy and very clean. There’s an outdoor seating area with sunshades as well. I hope to see this business and thrive and indulge the Tri-Cities with their delicious food. Perhaps we can see more dishes typical of the great...
Read moreMy husband and I really enjoyed dining here. The food was really authentic and so flavorful. I got the 6 chicken flautas order and my husband got the chilaquiles with green sauce. We also ordered two vanilla lattes, one iced and one warm, with oat milk and cinnamon, both were so good. The service was nice, the workers very attentive. They even brought us a plate of their tasty churros on the house. Sadly we are traveling so it sucks that we won’t have one closer to home. We actually made a quick pick up order before we travel back home and got some tacos and tamales, delicious! This spot is solid so I definitely...
