It's sad to say I have to leave a bad review for Lias pizza. I always have loved comming in and seeing Geno and Lia. since high school I have been comming here for years and a close friend of mine even worked here for quite some time. but I did not know that they sold the shop until recently.
I haven't been in for a while so I it was getting close to closing time at my shop, so I decided to call and place an order. my new debit card I had received planned to use a payment method seemed prime since I had no cash on me. I called to place the order and was told my two item 16" pizza would be 15.09! awesome! see you soon. the delivery guy came, gave him a nice $5 tip on my car since I'm usually a nice guy when it comes to delivery.
I ate some of my pizza before I closed my store and proceeded to go home at which I went to bed.
I woke up the next morning to be notified by bank of america via email that my account had been over drawn, by 59.99! wow okay so lets evaluate what happened here for a second. I had quite a bit of cash in checking to cover a piazza.
turns out, some one decided to write down my debit card number, the car I have only had for TWO WEEKS and only got gas and pay bills with. can you imagine that? some one really wrote down my credit card number and tried to buy something on playstation network! so, forwarning. I would stick with cash transactions- and to whom ever it was that decided the needed that new video game for PS4. I hope you enjoy having your account banned as I already contacted PSN. I also have filed a police report with the local police department and made a claim with my bank. nope, police couldn't do much to help me but no that people will publicly see this I hope they use extreem caution when dealing with the new owners and new employees's! otherwise the...
Read moreReally good traditional pizza flavor and reasonably priced menu items. The friendly atmosphere and the owner goes above and beyond to make customers happy. My wife and I overheard a couple intentionally creating a complicated order just so they could complain later. Knowing the superb customer service would offer to make another order without question and allow the complainant to keep the "Incorrect" order at no additional cost. It saddened us to hear the couple congratulating their victory in scamming a free pizza half and half but too many pepperoni on the non pepperoni half. I'm not sure if the guy at the counter knew he was being scammed. However the "assuming " owner made them a new pizza and watched them eat the "Free" incorrect pizza while they waited on the replacement! Although the customer is always right, mentality is expected, it's clearly not respected or appreciated. Selfish customers like this couple is what makes honest small business owners close their doors or become not so pleasant to purchase from. I'm so glad we made a generous tip before we witnessed the above mentioned. It assured us that some of the most evil people have the friendliest faces... The food and the experience was equally pleasant and...
Read moreStopped in for lunch and got a Stromboli for an amazing price. Couldn't even finish it all, and their dough is rather tasty. Very fluffy but not too bready and still tastes like pizza dough. I was out the door in under fifteen minutes and got two meals out of it.
Lately I've been enjoying their Lasagna, which I order with extra sauce and extra cheese. Comes with a garlic bread made from their sub bread which is perfect for mopping up all the extra sauce. My office typically orders pizza here and when I've had a slice it was fantastic. This is seriously the best pizzeria in the Grand Rapids area, and it all comes down to that sauce and dough.
The inside is pretty standard for a tiny pizzeria, but they do offer minimal seating. I remember at least five or six tables, and in the corner was a warming machine with slices for sale if you don't want a...
