Arby's — Restaurant in Kidder Township

It was a rest stop for us. Son had never had Arby’s before. If you know Arby’s you know what you are in for. I thought food was good- stick with the classics-roast beef sandwiches. I remember days when we used to get coupons where we could get 10 rb sandwiches for 10$. So worth it. But having moved to the east coast and trying roast beef sandwiches at the deli’s - Arby’s is now just at a different level (way way below what I think a roast beef sandwich should be). Like comparing steak at a diner vs steak house- both still good but you know which one is the proper steak- you make best with the situations you are in.

Newer stuff on the menu not that great- like the burgers. At least the one we ordered, wagyu something burger I think…. It was just horrible. Should’ve taken a picture. Basically it was over sauced, drenched actually and the lettuce leaf disguised it and the typical smashed steamed like bun made the sandwich look… not great. The beef Patty was awful. Hard pass on anything that’s not a classic rb sandwich.

We also tried the fried strawberry cream cheese pie- not great, not even good. If you decide not to get it after reading this.. ‘you’re welcome’. Tasted like it was RE-heated in a microwave or has been sitting since last week in a heated box- no fried crispy-ness at all. What I was expecting was like how McD’s used to sell their apple pies- crispy outside and lava like temps inside.

Anyways, after reading above you would think I should’ve rated this place 1. I’m keeping the rating high because overall the service was good- they had polite and friendly workers. Place was clean for a rest stop Arby’s although a little dated inside. If we had just stuck with the rb classic sandwiches this would have been a 5 rating- no question. Just...

I arrived around 2pm or so. There were no customers inside the store at that time or during my visit.

I started by visiting the washroom to wash my hands. One toilet had urine and paper in it unflushed. The other stall looked fine. There was toilet paper on the floor in multiple locations.

I ordered a couple orders for my party. Nothing strange about any of them. The only 'substitution' requested was no cheese or sauce on one of the sandwiches.

We received one sandwich that looked like someone had forcibly grabbed it and plunked it on the tray. You could see finger marks squished into the paper wrapper. Unsurprisingly, the sandwich itself bore the same manhandling markings.

Another sandwich that requested no cheese came out with cheese and barbecue sauce. The employee was alerted to the error and brought out a new one. (Thank you)

The store had napkins and random trash papers in multiple locations across the floor. The floor and tables were sticky to the touch. (I personally touched the edge of 4 random tables in curiosity.)

I do not like to leave negative reviews and typically do not. However, we have to travel this route pretty frequently. Today's visit was one of the Better visits.

I realized this is never a pleasant stop. A shame as we prefer Arby's to other options at that intersection. I insist everyone wash as we arrive and as we leave.

We also clean up our own table of any trash and wipe it down before we leave so as not to be the regular kind of trash hogs that must visit this location.

Won't be going back! We have Wawa, McDonald's, Burger King and Arby's. I boycotted the McDonald's several years ago because of bad food. This Burger King location barely tastes like Burger King food. So the choices left are Arby's and Wawa.in the past I have always given this Arby's good reviews. But something has changed at this location. They closed for several days . when it reopens some employees were gone and replaced with new. Since then the food quality has gone downhill. Yesterday was looking forward to trying the fried turkey cranberry wrap and sweet potato waffle fries. For almost $9 for the meal I expected to be able to eat it. Unfortunately the waffle fries were cold and hard. And the rap was more like a wad of meat like a ball in a tortilla . And there was no cranberry on it. Was not the first time since they had reopened that I was dissatisfied with what I received. But it is the last time I will be back to...
