Best Donuts — Restaurant in Killeen

I'm going to get straight to the point. Their kolaches are NOT always fresh baked that morning as they claim. This has been an ongoing issue for me with them. Sometimes I go in and they're fresh then sometimes I go in and they're day old. When I go in I tell them, "I want fresh baked kolaches from the back and I do not want them microwaved." When they give it to me I open the box and feel them. When I question them to confirm that they are fresh baked that morning they reassure me that they were fresh baked that morning. They were hard and I know they were NOT baked that morning. I know the difference because I have gotten fresh baked kolaches (from them) and they are awesome! In fact, they were my favorite donut shop in all of Killeen! I live across town and sometimes I'll drive there, on the weekends, because I love their kolaches…WHEN THEY ARE BAKED FRESH THAT MORNING! I gave a low score because I hate it when people lie to me; especially to my face! Just seems like bad customer service to me. This donut shop in the past has donated left over donuts to the homeless and Relay for Life when I called and asked for them. Many years ago, they donated to a special needs kids camp as well. The customer service was wonderful. I visited when some other local.ones were closed. I'm glad I found them open. Lots of variety. There is a drive up window also if you want to avoid as much contact as possible. It is in the same lot as Subway and Blades off Stan Schlueter Loop...

I USED to love this doughnut shop. There used to be a dad working with his son and daughter. Then the daughter and son would rotate out but now the uncle I believe owns it and it’s been downhill ever since.
