The food did not disappoint! The Jjampong (spicy seafood noodle) dish really tasted authentic. It closely resembled the flavor of how it's made in Korea. The Udon noodle dish had lots of umami flavor. The Seafood Jajamgmyon (brown sauce with noodles) was full of vegetables, seafood, and chewy noodles. It was amazing and was enough for two people. We ordered another dish that I forgot to take a picture of. It's called Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour sauce over your choice of meat.) We chose chicken as the protein. It was cooked perfectly with batter and the sauce complimented the chicken so well.
After dinner, my kids wanted Pat Bingsu (a Korean shaved ice dessert) and that was the start of the show! Most Asian countries have their variation of a shaved ice treat such as this one, but this one if the largest and prettiest one I've seen made in the USA. It was swimming in condensed milk, mango and Strawberry popping bobas, fresh strawberries, fresh mangos, bite sized mochi, frosted flakes, and a heaping scoop of sweet bean paste. It was almost too pretty to consume.
I highly recommend this establishment and was so happy to see that Killeen FINALLY has a restaurant that serves both Jjampong and Jjangmyun that looks and tastes good. I don't have to drive to Austin for these dishes anymore, unless I'm doing other things up there. Please go support this new business. The wait staff was top tier. They were so kind, and attentive, but not in a over bearing way. You will definitely have left overs to take home. For the amount of food we received, the price of each dish was worth it in my opinion. We will be patrons again, in the...
ย ย ย Read moreAn interesting restaurant inside a restaurant with a mix of authentic Korean Chinese food tied to a boba dessert shop. There are 3 recommended items including the sweet and sour pork, black bean noodles, and spicy seafood soup.
The sweet and sour pork is sweet, but is missing something - either salt or sour but it is bland 3/5. The black bean noodles are solid on their own with thick flavor 5/5. The items do not come with rice and some bonchon (kimchi and onion).
If you want dessert, you do have to order separately. The service is fast, the ambiance is generic, the food is good at best. Overall, not terrible but there are plenty of Korean options available in the area.
Flavor: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 X factor: Simple menu and tied to a...
ย ย ย Read moreJust tried this place last night and got bulgogi. I specifically asked if it came with the sides because that part is important to me. The waitress said yes, when I got to the store the only sides that were included were pickled jalapeรฑos and fish cakes, there was no kimchi or any pickled side with gochujang flavor. This made it taste not very Korea (but i guess thatโs why they have Chinese in the name as well). The bulgogi quality itself was okay the beef was in very large pieces. I might try again again but the Chinese...
