Chef Quis Cajun & Soul Food — Restaurant in Killeen

I want to edit my review to be fair. When the owner read my review, he called me several times. I finally answered and he really did try to make it right. THAT SAYS A LOT! THANK YOU. I WILL GIVE YOU GUYS ANOTHER CHANCE.

This was my first time here. After finally finding it, I walked in the door. The lady with short blondish hair with glasses sns scars on her arms was doing something on her phone but was trying to take my order at the same time. NEVER even looked up at me. The entire time she took my order, she still never made eye contact and was digging into her purse. Another lady looked, and I could tell she felt awkward and the situation. I did mention to her that she was rude. As far as the food. I ordered smothered pork chops. The first bite, my blood pressure went through the roof. The pork chops were sooooo salty! Oddly enough, the plain rice was very good. I was unable to eat the meal because it was waaaay too salty. I would like to try them again, but bad service can run customers away 90% of the time, no matter how good the food is. ...

Great experience! At first, we thought we were lost lol but after pulling the location up again and actually reading further, we realized we were in the right place. Once we entered the place, it was empty but, we noticed there was a lot of pick up traffic. The Chef took our order & a little while later, our food was delivered by a lovely woman (I wish I would've gotten her name) & y'all it was hot and plentiful!!

We both ordered Green Beans and Mac & Cheese but, I got the Catfish and hubby got the Fried Pork Chops & also Red Beans & Rice. Y'all my husband did a lil dance when he had that first taste of the beans lol & y'all he was right, they were slammin'!! Catfish 10/10, not oily, flakey, crispy, hot, flavorful. Green Beans flavorful, Mac & Cheese great! Listen, let's just say.... get on over there because they didn't disappoint! We were just here visiting for a few days but, when we get a chance to come back, oh we comin'! I recommend this place to all interested in trying but haven't pulled the trigger!

I heard about this place word of mouth. Didn't get a chance to get there on the bus so I decided to order via door dash. Let me just say this meal was phenomenal. I ordered the fried chicken plate.I was given 4 chicken wings, baked mac and cheese ,and collard greens which was the veggie of the day option. All of it was seasoned to perfection. That said, the quality and presentation of my meal put all the TLC into making it on full display. I'm also impressed because again I ordered it through the door dash. It came to me hot and fresh. I wish it could have come with at least 2 more wings and a little bit more Mac and cheese. However, I am pleasantly full with the amount I did get. Absolutely spectacular food.
