The entire time on deployment I was imagining busting open a juicy crab in a Cajun and Creole boil. I came to this humble but aromatic spot and realized before I even busted the container open that this was the real deal. You know; that lingering smell in the air that invites you into the garage like Great Gramma Eva’s family reunion. Great Aunt Hazel is in there dishing out whole mountains of medley potatoes, crawfish, tail-fall-off shrimp, succulent fresh crab, sweet corn, even a bone or two if you dig deep at the bottom from my memories… wholesome and realistic food. This is by far the BEST crab boil I've ever had in Killeen! I have two other go to spots around here but after my first time here at Texas Crab House I think I'm in love! The potatoes were cooked to perfection, the flavor was bursting in deliciousness with a touch of spice, and the corn was absolutely amazing! We ordered several pounds of crawfish on DoorDash. Unfortunately, these were the worst crawfish we’ve ever had. I’m not sure if they were cooked earlier in the day and reheated or if they were cooked, frozen, then thawed, but these were terribly rubbery, over-salted, and virtually inedible.
