Smitty's Carry Out — Restaurant in Kingman

I've eaten here a few times and loved it, but it's been a while. I stopped in tonight and was totally shocked at how downhill the place has gone. The place was very dirty, the mustard on the table, which was in a clearish bottle, was green at the bottom. It looks as if they just continue to refill the bottles without ever cleaning them. Whatever is growing at the bottom of the mustard can't be safe to eat. The ketchup was basically in similar shape. Floors,walls, and drink station was filthy. The buns were completely stale. So much so that I tapped it on the table and it started breaking off into dust. I asked for a new bun and the girl working was polite and apologized. She then went to the kitchen and grabbed one with her bare and and carried it out to me. I'm disappointed and sad to say it's not worth the money. I...

Another weekly destination for my dad and I. Smitty's Restaurant is one of those hidden gems. The atmosphere inside is all about drag racing. Looking at all of the photos on the walls brought back memories of racing in my youth. My dad and I both ordered cheeseburgers with onion rings. The young lady behind the counter was super. We noticed a beautiful lattice and braided apple pie in front of us on the counter. We had to inquire. The pie was $4 a slice. After devouring the delicious hamburgers and onion rings, I bought 2 slices of apple pie. A young lady (I'm guessing maybe 20 years old) was responsible for the masterpiece we were about to enjoy. We usually love Smitty's, but the last 3 times we have come, we have had mediocre service, cold food that wasn't made to our request, and the restaurant is dirty and needs some major updates, cleaning and maintenance. Today we waited 25 minutes for one Bacon, cheeseburger and an order of onion rings. When we finally got it, there was no bacon, and everything was cold from sitting on the counter while the teenagers flirted and wasted time. One of the girls came out the side door, petted some dogs in a vehicle behind us and took a cup in from the driver, refilled it, and brought it back out.
