So I have been a customer at the shop nutrition in Kingston for years even since she was at her old location. I’m gonna give you two examples of things I ran into with her the last one being this morning which was my last straw & I will never purchase with her again

About a year ago this happened. Me and my mom always get a protein shake in the mornings and my mom would pay for mine and hers and then the next time I would pay for mine and hers and we would just swap out doing that.

Well the spot nutrition has a special they run and if you spend $10 or more you get a point after you get 10 points you get 10$ off your next shake/drink. Which means you have to get the mega which is $11.50. If you get a small medium or large they are under the $10 mark and you get a card clip. Which I used to get smalls or mediums but then once I realized the special I started getting megas. Which after 10 shakes is $115!!!!

OK so me and my mom would get two Megas and I noticed I kept only getting one point. She told me because I paid with one card she could only give me one point per transaction although my mom was buying a $11.50 Cent shake and I was buying an $11.50 Cent shake she still would only give me one point per transaction. So then I asked her if I split the payments up would she give us a point per transaction on each account and she said yes . So then I started splitting the transaction up into two separate transactions so that my mom would get a point under her account and I would get a point under my account. You could totally tell her frustration that I figured that out as a customer, and requested separate transactions.

The second running I’ve had with her was this morning I’ve noticed that I have spent and spent there. I started paying with Venmo more because it was just easier for me to pull up to the door and reach in and grab my drink off the counter then to go in and have to pay with my card. So I started paying with my Venmo more lately. Well I’ve noticed that I’ve not had a free drink in a long time so I asked her today how many points do I have and she replies I’ll have to look in the system she looks it up and said I have five points. And I’m kind of confused at that point because I know I bought just five shakes this month with Venmo and that’s not counting the cash or my bank cards that I’ve spent over the last couple of months. So I asked her well how was that because I’ve purchased a lot of drinks.

She informs me that if I pay with Venmo I do not get a point because it is too much for her to go in and give people points individually manually and venmo doesnt do it automatically 😳 like her square does which is what you pay with your bank card/credit card or cash etc. 😐😳 

At this point I’m completely floored because the last like five or six drinks that I have purchased have been on Venmo & many many more which I did not get points for. Nor was informed that I did not get points for these, and nothing on her social media states this policy which I have doubled and triple checked . 

Long story long. If your customers are going to purchase with you take the time to give them their points in the system. That is your job. If you were gonna run a small business give back to the people that are keeping your business running. If you are running specials keep up your end of the deal, stop finding ways to not give back to your customers. If you cannot afford to run specials DONT. $11.50 for a protein shake is already outrageous so if someone is willing to come to your place of business follow through with your offers

I have plenty of screenshots on my Venmo that I have taken that show how much money I have spent at this place of business and this is not including my bank statements/bank card or the cash I’ve spent there.

I'm new to the area and will be frequenting here. Good smoothies, fair prices, but all the smoothies seem to be made from powdered mixes and no real fruit and/or yogurt ingredients to give it a rich flavor. You can taste that you are drinking powdered mix smoothies. Need some fresh ingredients. 😁

All three ladies that work here are absolutely wonderful, kind, and friendly. Great...

Today was my first time going to The Spot Nutrition and I did not know what to expect. The owner helped me choose the perfect shake and I must say it is by far the best shake I’ve ever had. Make sure to try the peanut butter banana shake. If you haven’t been there you simply MUST go! I would recommend this shop...
