My 1st time here and Ohhh YES I WILL be BACK. Todays adventure was a solo trip but it was great so I definitely will have to return and bring Wifey next time.
The Breakdown:
The portions are seriously Texas Size HUGE here. I would recommend splitting a meal with 2 adults unless you want to take a doggy bag home with you or you are a professional competitive eater.
My waitress said that the Poblano Fajitas Fajitas are the best thing on the menu, so I took her recommendation. She definitely was NOT lying, it came out sizzling in a cast iron and at 1st sight I was impressed. I opted the Flour Tortillas and Chicken & Steak mixed combination. I liked the chicken and steak equally so I think I made the right call. The flour tortillas were huge, hot, fluffy, and delicious so I'm very happy with my pick.
Everything was really great but the salsa that comes with the dish was the real star of this show. Straight incredible, I think I could have drank a few large glasses of it. Yeah it was that good.
I went solo so I have another full size meal to warm up later tonight or tomorrow. Shoutouts to my waitress (sorry I didn't catch your name) and hats off to the chef. Keep doing your thing guys the food and experience were both great. I hope to see you both again soon. You rock.
Sincerely, Joe Peoples Musician, Traveler & Foodie Find me on...
Read moreWhat a disappointment. 1/10/2020, my boyfriend and I went to have lunch. We walked in and ended up leaving because it smelled like sewage. We made a to go order for dinner and it took over 20 minutes to get it and there was only 1 person in front of me. I came back today because I've been sick and wanted some soup. I called and made an order for 3 soups. That's it. I told 4 people my order and 45 minutes later, I still didn't have soup. The drive through lady even said maybe I called the wrong place. I checked and I called El Dorado. Even if I didn't call ahead, it shouldn't have taken over 40 minutes to fill a simple order. The 4th time they asked about my order, I even offered to pull up somewhere or move because there were 4 people behind me and they didn't tell me to do so, just wait 10 more minute . I gave up and left...
Read moreWe had been here several years ago when we had visited Kingsville Ranch, and knew it was worth the hour 15 minute drive. When we arrived we were greeted by Silvia, our server, and offered the seating of our choice. Miguel the owner stopped by to say hello and welcome. The chips were warm, crisp and delicious and the salsa was fabulous and not too spicy for this Minnesotan. Three of us ordered the shrimp cocktail which are large and sooo delicious. I ordered tortilla soup and my husband kept digging into it. He knew he shouldn't say it was better than any soup I made, but he came close. Silvia was friendly, personable and attentive. Miquel stopped by before we left to make sure we were satisfied. I wish we had all been more hungry. Although I have leftover soup for lunch tomorrow. YUM! Great food and staff. We...
