Overall Crawfish and Seafood — Restaurant in Kingwood

Disappointed to leave this review because I’ve been coming here since they opened and loved the crawfish flavor and food but I came on 2/24 and got really sick the days that followed. Tried to figure out what happened because never did I think I would get food poisoning from this place, but it made sense that it was indeed the crawfish because the person I went with also got really sick. I read some where in these reviews the owner replied to someone else claiming food poisoning from here and the owner responded that some people’s stomach can’t handle the flavors so they call it “food poisoning”, personally my stomach handle pretty much anything. Well now that I’ve read some reviews from other people claiming the same thing. I’m for certain I got a bad batch of crawfish, thinking back I questioned some of the crawfish I was eating on that day because the shell was super soft and some looked way over cooked and I had to throw away a good amount. Did not say anything because I thought no way I could get food poisoning from overalls. Well I had a doctors visit and sure enough I have food poisoning. My fevers ran up to 103 and I never want to feel like that again. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but just be aware. Unfortunately I will not be coming back here.

Response to overalls: of course you will say it wasn’t the crawfish but it definitely was. A simple google search will tell you the soft shell stage means that they probably are not fully developed and contain higher level of toxins or contaminants due to their immature state potentially leading to food poisoning. Cooking 120lb batches doesn’t eliminate the fact that there could be a few crawfish that are not good. Like I said everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I get it it’s your business. Went to overalls this afternoon about 3 and the service was incredible!! There was a never ending line, tables full and they were pumping out food and cleaning bowls as fast as possible! This is the first weekend I have come this season and the price and quality couldn't be beat after the hard freeze and snow we just had. They may have been small but mighty on Overalls part! I also got a bunch of extra sides and they were incredible, the crab was melt in my mouth good and fell out of the sell and the shrimp was perfectly juicy. I just got the regular spicy today and it was perfect seasoning for everything, even the mushrooms and sausage were incredible! They all busted their ass getting everything out in a timely manor we only waited 20-30 minutes (even though we got like 10lbs and a bunch of extra items) and everyone around me was also enjoying their orders and having a great time. Even my friend who met me there got the spicy garlic sauce added and omg I will have to get it next time!!! I had no idea it was so good!

Fourth time coming to Overall Crawfish. Well, this time I didn't order the undercooked Crawfish, just the usual deliciousness that is the Overall Combo Spicy Sauced, Extra Sauce and Garlic, and some cups of spices. As the first 2 experiences, this was delicious, well done, cooked completely, flavorful, full of juice and sauce, and I enjoyed every piece. The only reason why I don't give it the 5 stars I gave it the very first time is because it makes me sad that all the other food and sauce here is perfect but the Crawfish are just terrible. If you're coming here for the Shrimp, Crab, Potato, Corn, and Sauce, this place is a 5 out of 5, but if you're coming here for Crawfish, maybe I'm just unlucky but I'd give this place a 1 out of 5 on the Crawfish. Overall I'm gunna leave it at 4 stars because the Overall Combo is the best thing on the menu. Make sure to ask for extra sauce and garlic as that flavor is...
