Food Town — Local services in Kingwood

The staff here is awesome and perfected the whole process of me going in and out of the store along with what my mother needed. I couldn't really find a review directly from the site that they have up on the internet but it's definitely a Five Star place. And yes, inside of the building was very neat including the outside. I do believe that the prices of what we bought is cheaper than if we would have went somewhere else to buy them. I would recommend Food Town to others looking into buying things at a discounted price while enjoying how organized everything is. This store has mainly produce and all other sources of food to cook with and it's being presented well with discounts. One thing that they should come up with is their own customer survey on the receipts as per my pic, I do shop here constantly and I want the best for these kind hearted staff members of Food Town. For some reason they don't have the customer surveys but it isn't going to put my rating of five stars down for them. (8/3 review different buy date) I have to admit, another wonderful experience which I had coming here just to buy some Energy drinks. They have a very large selection of all different kinds and again, I can't ask for anything to change with Food Town. It's like so satisfying coming in here to buy stuff plus I live close to this Food Town so...

I bought some yogurt that doesn't expire until next month and a took a swig at it an tasted very odd, so I looked inside an the thing was covered in green mold around the rim.

I didn't go back to get a refund or anything cuz I just thought that they wouldn't care mostly because I've heard from a worker there that managers are not informing employees that some of their co-workers have tested positive for covid.

Also I've heard from former employees that whenever meat packages are opened, they are not cleaned and are just simply rewrapped and put out to be sold again, even during this pandemic.

There are multiple black mold spots on the ceiling, which are dripping water onto customers and management refuse to do anything about it, Ive seen mutliple roaches on the registers as well as mold on many of the produce items, complaints are not taken seriously. I would understand if these were small things which didnt neccisarily impact anyone but these are serious health concerns that could affect the workers along...

It is sad that racial profiling, the hate towards a certain race will have you giving horrible customer service. I sent my husband to get the registration sticker with the required paperwork and was turned away 3 times. The lady at the window @ 2:15 pm 3/02 said she couldn't help my husband who is mexican-African American and that he had to go to the court house to get his registration sticker. I just looked it up at the dmv website and thankfully was able to renew this way. Now don't judge us for waiting to renew from 08/23 until now, little Hispanic girl you don't know what we have been through to still have you make our day worse.
