UNLESS MANAGEMENT CHANGES STAY AWAY Two women, one who identified herself as the general manager, although I’ve never known a GM to work at 10p, but ok. At 9:50p it’s dead inside, there are diners coming in, one of which I assume called ahead with 20. All you can hear is both women going on about how they close at 11p and stop taking orders at 10:30p to leave by 11p, and you said there was 20 in your party and there’s almost 40 here. Mind you we all came separately. Now you would think, it’s a Friday night and your dead, this is an opportunity to make money, but these women literally turned away 2 adults and 2 young children because they said the party “had hit their limit”. Half the peoples orders weren’t even taken at that point, and you can see several employees hanging out in the front and the kitchen. I ordered chicken AVOCADO flatbread and when I got it there was a sprinkle of Avocado on it, so I asked if I could have more Avocado as was pictured on the menu. The “GM”came over and told me that was the portion size stated in the menu? And when I said the picture had more Avocado and I had a third of the flatbread without any Avocado, she said, “it’s like McDonalds, it’s not going to look like the picture”. Then the cook, I’m assuming, comes out and says that’s a whole Avocado, when everyone at my table said, yeah no that isn’t, he says it’s a half, and again we said no that is not. Based off the simple fact that this women refused to give me what would have equated to less than .50 cents of more Avocado, I told her I did not want the flatbread as that is why I ordered it for the Avocado. She happily took it back and lost out on a food sale, over a few dimes worth of Avocado. Whomever owns this establishment has to be struggling financially with employees like these two women. I was an out of town visitors so I get that my expectations may be above Kinston standards, but how can you hope to prosper and grow allowing people like your “GM” to operate your business...
Read moreEdited the day after: me and 2 of the kids woke up throwing up . Should have known what we'd be getting into; when you pull up at a east coast wing Saturday Night, and it's dead .. Lights weren't even on outside till we told them we wanted to sit outside..used to love this place and their original staff.. Barely can hear the music, half the tvs off..also looked like the place was closing 2 hrs early.. But let's talk about the food...Just..wow.. The steak philly tasted like water.. The chips were burnt... 3.the Pepsi tasted like cheerwine..the other Pepsi tasted like marchino cherries.. The mango habanero tasted like buffalo sauce and they ran out on the last 2.. they also dont ask for the heat levels I guess they quit that.. The garlic parm..was made from either someone who's never cooked, a smartass, or a dumbass... Regular wings doused in raw garlic powder and cheap Parmesan powder.. 6.the best things were the tea and a side salad (y'all may want to make sure ppl like fake bacon bits/bacon bits in general, on their salad.. Bang bang shrimp tacos..I guess "bang bang" means "shrimp" because all you get for that $15 was 2 mico tacos sized for 2 shrimp each. Ranch used to be so much better, now tastes like it had tarter sauce.. Never had a long island ice tea that d wasidn't look like one , much less have a buzz equivalent to a bitter lemonade.. $140 for 10 reasons to be never come back..and I know the people that started this location..used to work with them.. I won't complain too much about the price, only because we tipped the waitress well (not her fault),we have a lot of styrofoam...
Read moreI would have to say that we usually love East Cost Wings and Grill, but we have been back to this location in Kinston three times now and have been disappointed each time. I would have to say the very first visit here was pretty good because of the wings. The service at this location has never been very good. There is usually a longer wait and the waitresses tend to think they work at hooters. One waitress in particular seems to always wear shorts that show way to much of her bottom area. It's one thing if we bring our family to hooters with the expectation of what they wear but evertime we come here, the same girl wears the same inappropriate clothing. We normally always get the boneless wings. However, every time we get the same flavor but it's never the same and the wings tend to be way overcooked and dried out. The bathrooms have been nasty the last three times coming here and so have the tables we eat on. The place doesn't look busy with customers but the time it takes for service and food to come out would make you think that the place was packed. There is one lady that is very nice and respectful every time we come in and it's the young African American hostess. She is always so nice and sits us fast with a huge smile on her face. She has short hair and always is at the front sitting customers. She should be recognized because she is one reason we come back. The other reason we come back is because there are not many options for wings in Kinston and we have hope that maybe this place will train their servers to be more prompt with their tables, clean, and dress more appropriate for...
