Dining Experience was for dinner service for a party of 5 on May, 12 2025 (day after Mother’s Day, and a College Graduation) with a OpenTable reservation for 7:00p.
If Google review had the option to give 0.5 or half ⭐️ ratings — I would drop my rating to a 2.5 ⭐️.
Upon majority of the party entering the venue, the host was cheerful and kindly tried to accommodate the party when a window seat was requested. A little long of a wait, about 30 minutes (by the parties on willingness to forego other table arrangements) - we were seated with a nice view!
The food options and wine selections were really well curated. The Burrata (additional cost for a bread pairing which we opted), Lopez Island Clams and charred octopus were paired nicely with a bottle of Chardonnay for appetizers.
I had a the Fusilli (Guanciale, Carrots, in Santo Crema) — one of the best pastas I’ve had. Cook and flavor profile similar to dishes I’ve had in Italy.
The food is exceptional.
The reason for 3/5 stars (well, 2.5) is because the service did not match the quality of the food therefore the integrity of the atmosphere and the view from the window was spoiled.
Our Server had a really unappealing aura about him — a cold shoulder if you will.
Also, seemed annoyed when questions were asked about the menu and if some adjustment could be accommodated (since I was dining with out-of-state guests). When responses were provided, it was with a snarky attitude.
When dishes started to arrive at the table bread was dropped first by a food runner with no explanation — we were confused on if it was complimentary or the ala cart (additional cost) bread so we waited till our Server came around to ask the question — he snarky reply was “that’s the bread you ordered, you wanted bread right?”.
2 stars for the service by the hostess and food runner actually doing their job and providing the necessary customer service in relation to that job.
As the night continued, another bottle of wine and desserts all around were also order. Needless to say some money was dropped for my party of 5 totaling to over $400 not including tip.
I was DISGUSTED by the Servers lack of patience, effective communication, friendliness and empathy. At one point, I felt like it was because my entire party was Asian.
As much as this was a memorable time and meal for my family and I — I would not dine here or suggest here again.
I encourage people to spend there money at other establishments were you know the payment you are making is going to a business that deserves it because the food, service and atmosphere align with the integrity of their vision and/ or mission.
Como, your service was in fact...
Read moreThis happened today on November 14, 2021. Tonight we had the most awful experience at Como restaurant with a person who didn’t introduce himself to us, we just assumed that he was a shift manager or some sort of other personnel in charge, but not a server. We were a party of six women who gathered to celebrate our friends birthday. The reservation was for 4:00 pm. We had great time, nice, delicious food and good service. All the servers were nice and courteous!!! However, after we were done with our desserts and paid the bill, at about 6:40 pm a tall skinny white male appeared at our table and told us in a very rude manner: “Ladies, we need our table back, you have to leave now. It’s been two hours already and you can’t stay longer especially, that you were late for your reservation for 30 minutes.” It is true that we were late maybe for 20-30 minutes and we are sorry for that, however it is not a crime, things happen and cause delays. If your restaurant has restrictions about seating time, why wouldn’t you warn us about it in advance? If timing is a big issue at your restaurant we would definitely find another restaurant to accommodate us. You waited until we paid our bills and tips to kick us out. It is an unprecedented occasion for all of us, for many years attending restaurants all over the country from not so expensive to upscale ones this was the first and the most ugliest thing that happened to us. We were outraged, upset because all the people at the restaurant were watching how we , six women were getting kicked out of restaurant. It was awful, certainly an “unforgettable “ experience that will haunt us. The man who kicked us out refused to tell us his name and title, we tried to ask the hostess or other server but they remained silent. We believe his name is EJ but not sure. He tried to hold one of our friend by elbow to lead her out, then he opened the exit door and told us “good bye “trying to get rid of us fast. This is unbelievable and extremely rude. Shame on Como restaurant to have an employee like him! We will not be returning and we definitely will advise our friends the same.We can find lots of restaurants with delicious food, but what really brings customers back is good service and nice...
Read moreI lived in Bellevue before, for 4 years and have never been an Eastside fan because of its pretentiousness. This place certainly reconfirmed that if anything it's worse than ever. Unwelcoming to the point of feeling accosted at the door and the rudest waiter I've come across in a long time. Not just dismissive but outwardly rude. Our party of 6 came in at different times within about 10 minutes of each other. Both my daughter and when walking in, separately felt like the maitre, owner, whoever almost accosted us, as if we were a street person straggling in like we didn't belong there. Our table was cramped and it was so open and noisy it was hard to hear our conversations. Although the food was tasty, I was surprised that the melted cheese dip (one of 4 appetizers), had nothing to dip into it (spoons, fingers?). When we asked for something we were told all we could do was order a side of bread, which we did. While the risotto and ribs were ample sized, the pastas were sparse and smaller than previously as told by a member who had dined there before. The desserts were delicious. However the event was more than dampened (drenched?) by the waiter, whose #1 agenda seemed to be pushing alcoholic drinks. In fact, two members of our party (non drinkers) were almost intentionally humiliated. They didn't serve NA beer and when the waiter asked for an opinion on a NA Margherita, which tasted nothing of the kind, his response was "let's face it, we don't make money off mocktails". What? If I hadn't been so stunned, I would have asked if I should just hand over some money and skip the dinner since that's apparently what we were there for! Another member asked a question about the food and the waiter's answer answer was to look it up on Google. Water was slow and answers to questions were perceived as annoying and answers terse. It pained me to be 'saddled' with an automatic $75. Tip, which I did not add to. Call it entitlement, call it a flash in the pan trendy restaurant to be seen at, I call it bad manners and pretentiousness. You can have it. I'm spending my $ where it's appreciated....
