Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Kitty Hawk

I went down to the OBX for a three night /four day mini vacation with the family. Our last evening there, we thought pizza would be good so we ordered take out from papa johns (who’s face is not in the box anymore). They have a 2 topping xl on special for 12.99. I have ordered a few of these from my local store in Williamsburg VA. Online and over the phone, I have had ordered a split topping pizza with two toppings on one half and two different toppings on the other half, no problem. A two topping pizza. No! Not in N.C., that is considered four toppings. I actually ordered half pineapple and ham and the other half extra cheese. I’m sorry, that’s three toppings. You would have to pay extra. Hmmmm???? I’m thinking- Not where I went to school. You actually still owe me one topping because the one side just has extra cheese and only has one topping on that half of the pizza. I conceded. He was set on being stingy. Public schools around here must be bad. So I send the wife to go in and pay for it and it looked like they took a tablespoon of pineapple and drizzled it in a line down the center of one half of the pie, and same for ham?!?! I must say the online application for ordering was great, and the pizza was delicious, hot not overcooked ( as some others have done) it was really a good pizza, I was disappointed in only the fact that when our Local Papa John's Pizza in Kitty Hawk NC was closed, I lost all my points that I had accumulated, and I checked and I'm still looking for my points from my order last night.. but all in all, I didn't get sick with stomach issues, I didn't have to wait more than 15 minutes for it to be ready and finally.. those at the front were friendly and courteous. I will keep ordering Papa John's.. you really can tell the difference in the quality of the toppings, and though I couldn't apply my code to get a discount..It taste good enough to let that slip, but next time I am going to be sure that I get the price I should, it's a win, win " it means I spend more on other items. We ordered a pizza at 108 PM and we were told it would be 30 minutes. After 45 minutes, we called the restaurant and were told the driver was on his way. At 225, we called the store as we hadn’t heard from or seen our pizza yet, and it had been nearly 1.4 hours since we ordered. According to the “manager”, the driver had attempted to call us, and had been unable to reach us and returned the store. This was an outright lie. No one called, texted, or showed up at our door to attempt delivery. We have been faithful papa johns customers since moving here 3 years ago, but I do believe customers should be treated with integrity and respect.
