OK. I'm a firm beliver in what I like to call the 'No thank you' bite when it comes to trying things you've never had before. Take a bite, if you don't like it, than say 'no thank you'. It's polite to the person who made it and uou never know until you try, right? (Please note, do not bite random people and say no thank you, they don't like it and it usually ends up with assault charges being pressed). So we went to this Mexican restaurant down the street from us last night. I got their papas fritas with carne asada, I've had them before, I know they're good. I do love me some Lengua tacos, and asked if they had any. They told me no, but they had Cabeza and Tripa. I've never had that before. Lengua was the 'craziest' of meat that I've ever had, (sans the tacos I had in Tijuana when I was like 12, still not sure what that was, tasty though!) So I asked if I could get a sample of each. Y'all, I've been sleeping on this! I went back today and ordered 2 tacos of each and I swear with every bite, my eyes rolled so far back in my head I'm surprised they didn't snap off of their eye holder thingies that keep them in your face. Like I don't ever remember having a foodgasm this good in forever. Like I have no problems going back at all and getting more for dinner. And tomorrow for lunch, and dinner...... So if you think you won't like something, give it a little try because you never know.

I'm in town for work and don't have a lot of time in the morning for sit-down meals. I've come here three weeks in a row because the food is excellent. Machaca and Tijuana burritos as breakfast burrito are fantastic, Wednesdays they have pozole and got that for breakfast. Salsa bar is great; not crazy about the mild verde but the medium and roja are both very good. Don't know how they do the carrots at the salsa bar but I always get a few and they're a great accompaniment to a pretty substantial burrito. Dried oregano and arbols for soup on the bar. The whole roasted jalapeños are real spicy but great flavor. Service is quick and friendly. This is definitely in the top taquerias I've been to in the state.

Food and customer service were phenomenal!!! I've been there twice now, both times on a Saturday, and I got to say that nothing beats their $1 tacos. Choice between carne asada or adobada. Both times I got beyond full at $15 or less per person (I went there with my wife on both occasions). I've recommended this place to everyone that I've talked to. This new location from where they used to be makes it so much more convenient to find and dine. Aside from the $1 tacos they have a wide variety of other delicious meals, all extremely reasonably priced as well. So why are you still reading this? Go get some amazing authentic Mexican food already!!!

Valentines Day dinner was excellent. Carne Asada burritos were plump full of meat, quacamole and pico de Gallo. Meat well seasoned, very tasty. Also had the special. Asada street tacos which again were seasoned perfectly. They provided spiced carrots, jalapenos, three varieties of salsa and other peppers. Drinks were self serve. Decor is tasteful, soft music played. Despite the number of customers in the restaurant, service was fast, friendly. Tables were cleaned as quickly as they were vacated. Staff was very friendly, knew their menu quite well and were eager to help in any way possible to make the dining experience memorable . They have only been in business at this location for about 8 months. It is family owned and operated. Word about town is spreading quickly about the great food, great service and friendly atmosphere. Quality and price are right on,great value for the quantity of food you are served. Will be going back soon and often. Family owns another restaurant in the...

We stopped in here looking for some good tacos after a long day on the road. We were there between lunch and dinner hours so the place was pretty empty. We had the carne asada tacos, and the fish tacos. Both were excellent, with plenty of hot, fresh ingredients. There's a small "bar" that has sauces/condiments to adorn your food with. It also contained whole fried jalapeno's, which I took one and ate it with my meal. Great idea. The dining area is very clean and the staff was friendly and professional. Another great find! On a side note: This place is very affordable. We had 6 tacos, a soft drink, and a beer, and the total price was less than $24. The day before we paid over $30 for 2 burger meals at BK. In comparison, the food here was so much better, especially for the...
