I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting during my travels, and I must say it was one of the worst bars I have ever been to. As someone who frequently visits different bars, I was truly disappointed by the overall atmosphere and service.
First and foremost, the prices were exorbitant. Charging eight dollars for a single shot of Jose Cuervo is simply outrageous. I understand that bars have their own pricing strategies, but this was beyond reasonable. It felt like a blatant attempt to rip off customers.
Moreover, the condition of the bar itself was appalling. It looked as if the entire setup had been hastily thrown together, resembling a cheap cooler rather than a proper bar. The lack of attention to detail and overall shabbiness was disheartening.
To make matters worse, the staff was far from pleasant during my visit. Perhaps it was just an off night, but their lack of friendliness and professionalism was evident. It's surprising that a bar with such poor service has managed to stay open for this long.
Based on my experience, I predict that they will struggle to survive in the long run. Unless significant improvements are made, I wouldn't be surprised if the doors are closed within the next three months.
I wish the owners and staff the best of luck in their future endeavors, but I cannot recommend this bar to anyone seeking a pleasant and enjoyable...
Read moreI like to play pool on well maintained equipment; R&R has that! Good players and competition, pleasant "billiard hall" atmosphere. No obstructions while playing. Being the only place in Knoxville that I've found so far with these qualities makes this place is worth 4 stars. Three different leagues and two or three tournaments a week (currently Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays). Beer selection is good enough (pro: cheap; con: no local beers!); you can bring your own booze in for an $8 bottle charge. Tables (all Valley bar boxes) can be rented for $6 per hour, no matter how many players at the table, with excellent balls and a red circle cue ball. The new owner Mike is very friendly; he introduced himself immediately and has never been anything but super friendly since. I'd give it five stars if 1) the food was better (I won't touch it.), 2) the seating around the tables was better, and 3) the beer selection included...
Read more$12.80 for a single Titos and soda is crazy for that area. That's your right as a business to charge that, but that is too much for the service received. The bartender couldn't find Titos. I told him that I was only there for one and to close me out when I gave him my card and then had to ask 4 times to get my tab. I counted 6 people (workers?) behind the bar. Literally saw a guy with a pink Mohawk and another guy who was leaning against the register run into the office when they saw that people were waiting for drinks. I don't blame the bartender. The Manager(?) that closed me out blamed the bartender that was overwhelmed and working by himself on his SECOND day. I don't leave reviews on anything. That is how bad...
