Club XYZ — Restaurant in Knoxville

I've been to several clubs and bars around the area and never have I ever had trouble with the bar service itself. It was very packed tight the bar area was super crowded and nobody rotated once they got their drinks. The bar tenders themselves were quite rude. My friends and I waited a good 45 minutes just for a simple cocktail while other people who've gotten their at the same time got their drinks in less than ten minutes. That's quite ridiculous in my opinion. My partner also saw one of the buss boys talk to the bartender and point at us and we think that's why they didn't serve us for so long because the buss boy said we were in the way so we moved to a better spot at the bar and we apologized and still didn't get serviced while everyone around us was also doing the same thing. The cocktails also tasted very watered down I've had three and didn't even get a buzz. The bar tenders also didn't look very happy. The atmosphere was decent I was able to get to the front and watch the drag show but beware people will get in front of you even if you were there first. I personally don't plan on going back there...

I went to pay for the drinks I ordered, noticed the bill was Manhattan prices so I calmly asked about it — the bartender aggressively told me I had ordered a round of shots or that my “friends” had put it on my tab. I informed him I was new in town, and didn’t have said friends, and being sober I told him that never occurred. He proceeded to argue with me, but ultimately removed the shots, saying he himself had to pay for them, and subsequently “punishing me” by saying I was cut off. It was such a petty power move since I was clearly sober, and attempting to resolve the situation, assuring him it was OK to just charge me since I didn’t want him to have to pay for them. He was so prideful and rude, and started swearing, saying passively aggressive statements, despite my remaining kind and professional. Such a turn off. I’d much rather go to any bar in Knoxville and hope to meet progressive individuals than fund...

If zero stars were available I would give them. I walked in after trivia, the bar crowd was down to about 8 people. We sat at the bar right in the middle. The bar tender waited on the people next to us to the right then skipped over us and waited on the people next to us to the left. And then they went back to the first group of people to ask if they needed refills. This was over a course of about 15 to 20 minutes. The bar tender never once talked to us, said they would be with us in a minute, and even after we started to leave still did not talk to us. There was no acknowledgment from the bar tender we were there or needed anything though we were clearly sitting at the bar. I wish i could say this is a one off but it is always like this. If you aren’t a regular they aren’t friendly or in our case simply do not get served....
