Good Beer. No Food. OK Service. Bluegrass Music?

Ok, this place looks awesome (aside from industrial cross roads outside) and they've put some effort into the German theme, but the bluegrass and country music really confused me. I wasn't expecting to hear David Hosslehoff, but come on...

Barkeeps stressed they only brew German beers in house, and I drank 6 across their offerings (they had other external offerings, but why? I'm here for their beer!). Their beer is good, no complaints, but wouldn't say anything stood out as impressive. Barkeeps didn't seem too interested, aside from rolling off the names on their tongue, and I simply felt like I was ordering a nice cold Budweiser.

Only food offered was the food truck at the curb, so I'm puzzled about previous reviews raving about pretzels and sausage. That sounds perfect at a German brewhouse (even with the bluegrass), really would have liked to try! . . . you can tell I want to rant about the non-German food truck, but don't want to drag them into this review.

If this is the best Knoxville has to offer (according to some reviewers), then you all need to get out of town and have some experiences, or invest and bring something to town that is truly worthy of 4-5 stars.

This place is nothing more than themed-up (still hiding in the closet as a country rager) bar just wanting to turn a trick with volume and make a buck. The owners would be wise to diversify the brewing options, lighten the theme, and focus on being a solid micro brewery with unique flavors profiles.

Oh, and thanks for charging me for an extra beer I didn't have. Noticed it on my receipt after. My...

Love, love, love this place! The food, atmosphere, staff, beer...all the perfect combination!!! Not much we haven't tried on the menu and everything is crazy good. When in doubt just grab a giant pretzel with cheese while you decide. To be honest, handle tried the pizzas but they seem to be a hit, maybe I need to try one soon. Love when they have a special menu, like their Valentines day meal for 2. OMG, so much food but it was just incredible. The staff, regardless of who they are, are very welcoming and friendly. Have yet to find an atmosphere like they have here. You can sit at a little table to have your own space or enjoy a seat by the fire to immerse yourself into the social experience. Truly love, watching a Vols game or F1 race on the jumbo TV in the biergarten, while hanging by the fire. Truly makes me feel like I'm at home. The beer...so many incredible options to choose from. They have a great range of beers and non-beer options, including mimosas on Sunday during brunch. Currently we have been working on their Doppelbock Project, which has been amazing, especially their Luxardo Cherry and Vanilla, which seems to be everyone's favorite. Do hope they bring it back regularly once it's gone. Rain, snow, shine, there is never a bad experience here. Highly recommend, just remember to leave 2 seats by the...

Wow is all I can say!!!! The food was 🔥🔥🔥, the beer selection 🍺 was award winning and vast, and the staff were amazing 🤩. My wife and I were in town on business and discovered Schulz's on Google. We knew immediately we much checkout this establishment and it was amazing. Everything was great. They are much better than their 4.6 ⭐ Google rating. If you get a chance you have to eat 🍴and drink 🍻 here!

Authentic German Heritage of Product and Staff. After three and a half years of living in this area, and many visits to Schulz Bräu Brewing Company, I have become quite a fan. Having first hand experience of German region culture, Schulz Bräu is as real as it gets right here in Knoxville. And don’t miss out on the special events! The environment is a setting that places you as if you are in a village in Germany. After all, I understand the Brewmasters are actually from Germany. The list of beers are plenty and of the best you’ll experience. And food menu and prep is as authentic as the brew. Brats, schnitzel, and more. If to out perform the product and setting, the staff has to be the best part. Clad in German attire, the staff accents the environment perfectly. Everyone attending to the taps, the kitchen, the tables, are all unique in their delivery of service. All showing happiness of being there that is the best part and gems of Schulz Bräu Brewery. Whether indoors or in the outside courtyard, you are sure to enjoy this wonderful real culture German experience. Here is to the owners and staff of Schulz Bräu Brewery…Prost! Well done!!!
