The Freezo has been a Knoxville staple for many years. My family ate there frequently back in the 60s and 70s and always enjoyed it. It had been a while since I had been (like 35-years) so I, along with my mother, decided to stop in today for lunch. It's still the quaint little walk-up/drive-thru cash only joint with lots of nostalgia. There was only one lady working today at lunch time trying to wait on around 12 customers. I'm glad we were not in a hurry because it took a while to get our food. The prices aren't too awful bad. I got a footlong hotdog, large onion rings, and large diet coke for $10.75. My mother got a footlong hotdog, small fries, small coke, and small chocolate malt for $11.15. The weather was nice today so we sat at the concrete tables at the back of the parking lot and ate. I wish I could say we enjoyed our meal but neither of us much cared for the food. The hotdogs were just kind of bland, tasteless, and lukewarm. There was barely any chili on them as well. My onion rings were decent, nothing to write home about. My mother felt the same about her meal and she only ate about half of it. Maybe they were just having an off day or something but I have no plans to re-visit.

When I'm over in this part of town I cannot resist a trip to freeze os... I mean what's not to like? nice greasy or high in sugar foods that taste great! and they're easy on the pocketbook haha. No but I like Freezos I love the chili dogs ! The shakes are to die for! If you have read any of my reviews ,you should know that I like real things, food and people. that's the reason Ikeep coming back to this old Knoxville icon.Today is the 10th of September we have a nice little fall feeling in the air I went out and sat at the picnic tables and enjoyed my hot dog and a absolutely delicious pineapple shake. I guess I better go home and check my blood sugar and adjust my insulin. I've never eaten the breakfast here, butyou can get the biscuits and gravy for $2.00 and a breakfast platter including two eggs and a meat for $4.00 or you can go big with biscuit gravy two eggs and a meat for a $5 Bill

Well my shake was good as was my wifes sundae. That said we paid 17 bucks for two inedible Med burger combos. Fries were normal crinkle cuts and were fine. We both took a single bite of the burger and said no thank you. I like a greasy spoon burger but these are clearly super low low grade freezer burgers. Will be back for ice cream some time but never food.
