Clean, comfortable, attentive staff and an excellent chef!! Just had dinner here after a few years. They've hired a new chef and WOW!! The food is Chinese now and it's really excellent. The menu has changed so it has a lot of chinese options. I was a little worried since I was used to the japanese menu but, some of the favorites are still available like the bento box, which is actually improved in my opinion. There's a bit more too it now. The fried food is so fresh and crispy, the presentation is clean and appetizing and the flavors are great. We were the only diners at the restaurant on a weekday evening and my only thought about that is that it's a hidden gem, located in rocky hill, I'm wondering if it's just sort of missed. We weren't too disappointed with the quiet dining experience, especially with the calming atmosphere but, y'all come eat here so they can stay in business. This is so good!! Support this...

Fried Rice: Meh, at best. Hardly no flavor. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't want it as my main dish.
Kung Poa Shrimp: Very good, well cooked, and lots of vegetables. Definitely on the reorder list.
Hot Spicy Chicken: It was hot and spicy. It was also dry. Kind of had that refrigerated then recooked taste. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't order it again. Also, there were no vegetables, and your side is the meh fried rice. 😐
New Yorker Sushi: The star of the show. Fresh, well packed, good portion size, and warm.
Ambiance: Soft music, clean and relaxing.
Pros: Good selection, clean, good sushi
Cons: Some of the food isn't...
Read moreAte here with family and received excellent service and recommendations from the staff. She was very helpful in deciding between different types of appetizers and, even more specifically, duck. The jellyfish was delicious, it had a nice, light sesame flavor to it. The Cantonese roast duck (recommended by server) was crispy and the fat melted on my tongue. We also ordered crispy pork belly, which was still very crunchy. The abalone/bokchoy appetizer (recommended by our server) was our veggie for all of this and the flavor of the mushroom was delicious, and complimented everything nicely. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're meeting with family or friends and are craving traditional...
