Richy Kreme Donuts Knoxville — Restaurant in Knoxville

HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE. This used to be Pops Donuts and they were THE BEST EVER!!! Even featured on TV. But now they are Richy Kreme Donuts which is more like a Krispy Kreme which makes me wonder if they used to work for Krispy Kreme. They leave a greasy film in your mouth and are super sugary tasting, just like Krispy Kreme. You can even pinch the bottom of the donut and get a slight greasiness on your fingers. PUKE!!! The bacon maple donut from Pops was the bomb. They never had a greasy feeling or texture. They were LOADED with bacon and the maple topping and bacon complimented each other as you got that wonderful bacon taste with the real maple icing. Now they take what looks like a strip of bacon and break it into tiny pieces and then take that "1" strip of bacon and place it on 4-6 donuts. All you taste is gritty super sweet slightly burnt imitation "maple" which is just brown sugar maybe shown some maple flavoring to give the impression of maple. We will NEVER BUY here again. I am playing "TAPS" for the loss of the last good quality donuts. WE WILL MISS YOU...

Fresh, delectable lightly-textured doughnuts in great flavors! Spotted this small business with cute seasonal decor out front and had to try it. So glad we did! After a warm welcome from the gal in glasses we had fun checking out their doughnut case. We splurged and got 3 (I’ve been on a diet but had to try these). We were in raptures over the strawberry buttercream-filled doughnut shaped like a beignet—-the taste of the doughnut itself was heavenly. I also tried the Fruity Pebbles doughnut for the first time and we loved its crunchy texture. Very delicious. My husband always gets an apple fritter and he loved this one.

I’m a Hawaii girl so I had to try the Mahalo Coffee and it, too, was superb, rich and smooth.

Our granddaughter might go to UT Knoxville and we’ll definitely recommend this shop to her. Kudos to this...

I have not been a Richy Kreme Donuts person until now. I can't eat wheat so donuts are off limits... but then I saw a post On social media about disco chicken and the former donut theory being a part of Richy Kreme And I was all in... I've been a fan of donut theory for a while and now that they've taken over that business, the donuts are even better! We like to order our Donuts ahead of time so we don't have to wait in lines. They also have really good chicken tenders and mac and cheese. In fact, everything they're doing right now is terrific and I can't wait to watch them grow into their dream business. I hope they stick around a while because we need a place that offers alternatives for people with...
