Mimmie's Pizza — Restaurant in La Center

I can't look past all of it anymore. After new ownership came in we were optimistic that it would be good, with the addition of card purchases, more staff, deliveries and more menu items.

Unfortunately, they'll tell you your food will be ready in 15-20 minutes but an hour and 15 minutes later they hadn't even started on your order yet. Then when it was done the older lady set it on the counter, didn't say who it belonged to and just walked off and ignored the waiting customers.

I called that up to a bad day. Then I ordered a delivery, was told it would take about 20-25 minutes to arrive. I get called by a lady an hour later to tell me the driver is about to pack the order and head my way.

Still looked past it. My girlfriend and I are sick and unable to leave home. We ordered pizza and their new pretzel bites.

The pizza is good, the pretzel bites were somehow cold and sweating and the cheese was cold and had mold in it. Yes... mold... on a new product.

I can't keep doing this, we will just go back to Pizza Pro. Check your food...

I ordered their pizza and being my first time visiting I did not know that they are known for tones of cheese on their pizza. I'm not kidding, the cheese was 1/2 in thick. A little much for my taste, but it's a local favorite. If your looking for authentic pizza this is not the place. The dough is closer to a biscuit than itialan style (like store bought dough) and the vegetable toppings are not fresh, but canned. If you aren't picky you'll enjoy this pie. If you're spoiled like me with authentic Italian pizza with fresh veggies you'll be disappointed, like me. The price was on parr with the pizza and it's a quaint local spot with charicter. They have real good ice cream hand dipped: a tad pricy, but what isn't in 2024. All in all a nice place to stop for a bite. They have a variety of other baked specials; one in particular that looked really good; I'll try one of their other good on my next visit. I'd recommend this place to anyone passing thru our for an ice cream stop, you won't...

We apparently went at a very bad time because it took over an hour to get two hot sandwiches. (Overheard several others saying they had waited that long as well), although several people came in behind us and were served 30 minutes before we were! The atmosphere was not so great as the ac died and the doors were propped open, the only light that were on were the ones at the register and the kitchen area and someone was painting right outside the open door.

The sandwiches were good, but not worth waiting an hour for them!
