Dairy Queen — Restaurant in La Grange

I am extremely frustrated and done at this point. Ever since they went under "new management", I have had my order messed up 2 separate times and this last time was by far the most ridiculous. I ordered the nacho meal with very clear instructions given, they gave me the taco meal. I expected to have my receipt put in the bag as usual and there wasn't one. I had also ordered my usual 2 grill cheese sandwiches with pickles ON the sandwiches. Normally, the original crew always had my pickles on my sandwich, no problem. This time around, I got a sandwich that looked like it hadn't even been grilled and wasn't warm with pickles that had been tossed into a cup that was barely snapped shut in the bag. I am fed up with this service and will not be returning to this location. They have not bettered their service, they have worsened it! Every small town has a Dairy Queen. And La Grange is no different.

Each of these small towns' Dairy Queens has a variety of menu items that may or may not be available at other locations. When I stopped at this location, I was surprised by several items I had not seen before -- fish baskets (well, at least outside of Lent season), chili dogs, patty melts, nachos, taco salads, and an actual chicken fried steak dinner. Had I been stopping for more than something sweet, several of these items would've tempted me.

But today was just a vanilla shake. That in itself was good -- but I was especially impressed by the young men working at the counter. One of the team was already preparing my shake before I'd even finished my transaction.

The gals here at this DQ are probably the nicest ones I have ever met at any DQ I have ever been to in my 37 years of living. I have no idea what the woman's name at the counter was, but it was Sunday, February 7, around 1:15pm. She treated my 3 children like they were humans and not like typical restaurant employees. She made them feel special, fixed my 8 year old child's burger like he was a grown adult. La Grange has always been my favorite town to visit, but now this DQ is my favorite place to stop to eat.
