Nice decorations looks just like bistro 108 did. Store-bought pasta store-bought Italian sausage ham was deli slices from a package. And real noisy kids running around sauce is lacked a lot of flavor. It’s no wonder that they include store-bought Parmesan plates at the table. Bread rolls were burnt or looks good and we’re just hard even though they had oil on them. Probably why they serve Margarine/Butter packages on the table. Creamy Italian dressing was pretty good reminded me of Newman’s. Fresh calamari not so fresh. More like frozen. Oh, and just to tell you that just because you have a Caesar salad/Mexican salad on the menu doesn’t mean you serve Italian food. By the way, I did not taste any Parmesan or lime juice in the Caesar dressing. And the lettuce leaves were all cut up as opposed to be served on a platter with the olive oil, Parmesan, garlic, pepper, lime, juice, Cesar dressing on top with a Cristini or two. What y’all do serve is a rendition of Cesar’s brothers salad called the aviator salad, and again comes out of...
Read moreEre’s is such a lovely local Italian spot! La Grange hasn’t had a true Italian restaurant in years and this place makes it worth the wait. The service was great, and our server Maggie was super sweet and knew her menu really well so she was able to answer all of our questions and point us in the right direction of what we might like best. We had a Caesar salad and mozzarella sticks to start, both were delicious! I had the baked ziti which was a gigantic portion, enough for me to have it again for lunch the next day. It was super tasty and more of a creamy red sauce than your average ziti has. I loved the creaminess and how much cheese they put on it! We also ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce, which my sister loved, and the manicotti which my dad said was delicious.
Although they don’t serve alcohol, you can bring your own wine which was nice so we brought a bottle and they provided wine glasses. Dessert was cheesecake and so so yummy! Overall, service was 10/10 and so was the food, I...
Read moreWe heard great reviews from friends about this place, so we thought we'd make the almost hour drive to try it.
My wife got the chicken picatta and said it was pretty good. I got the pasta combo. The zitii was good, the manicotti was OK, the lasagna was OK, but not spectacular, and the tortellini... well, let's just say it was there. It was cold in the middle, and the cheese tasted off. All in all, nothing to brag about.
Now, let's add that you have to pay extra for a side salad that is generally complimentary at other Italian restaurants. They came out warm, wilted, and the single nickel size slice of tomato was so thin you could read through it.
Service was mediocre at best. The young lady that took our order left shortly after we placed our order, and service was almost non-existent after that. My wife asked for a to go cup for her tea, and that was ignored.
Our experience was less than stellar, and it's doubtful we'll make a special trip to...
