After coming here for so many years, I had to come back and edit my review from 4 years ago. Today was horrible. The entire staff was new and there wasn't a manager around. The gentleman behind the register continued to ask me to repeat my order several times. It was very frustrating. All I ordered was a 2 topping thin crust pizza baked well. This went on for too long. As he finally repeated my order back to me, he forgot the baked well part. Again, I had to repeat the baked well part. At that point, he walked away from the register. He came back with a young lady and had her ask me what I wanted. Seriously? Neither one of them understood the baked well part. They laughed at me. Yes, both of them. It's apparent that this place is under new ownership, and they're lacking the pizza skills necessary for properly understanding that baked well is a thing. I finally walked out and decided Senor campos would be a better choice. At least they won't laugh at me here. Lol!
Just a quick update. We still haven't been back. El Cholos welcomes us.
Still updating. Other places are treating us well.
Another update. Panchos has great food and awesome customer service. Shakeys still refuses to make it right.
I'm still updating my thread. It's been over two weeks since I sent an email as requested. I still haven't heard a peep out of the owner, so I just wanted to remind them that Tulsa Ribs didn't laugh at us.
Another random update. I still haven't heard from Shakey's since I responded to their email over 3 weeks ago. Here's my El Pollo 16-piece family meal that our family...
Read moreI find this Shakey's to be exceptional. Walked in told him I had two small service dogs one in a jacket one with tags they welcomed Us in without so much as any other questions which is how it should be. We had just come from Brea Shakey's and they were so rude in there the first thing they said is I could not have my dogs in there even though one was wearing a service dog jacket and the other one had a tag that said service dog in training. I told man that they were serviced dogs and he said it doesn't matter you can't have dogs in restaurants in California that was the law only service dogs come in. I got annoyed and said that's what I just told you what do you think he's wearing a service jacket for. What upsets me the most is just because I have very small dogs and I mean very small dogs doesn't mean they're not capable of doing their job and letting me know when I'm in trouble. Went over to this Shakey's and they were so gracious and courteous I can't say enough and the food was outrageously good. We lost our Shakey's in arroyo grande years ago and everybody has missed it since. Thank you for your great...
Read moreThe worst customer service. The manager needs to coach these employees that where working today 2/16/2022 let's be specific now around 6pmish 2 young boys on the counter yes you guys. They refused to accept a free individual pizza for my daughter now I don't usually complain about things but this must be heard. Not only did they refuse to accept my daughter's certificate of a free pizza but we're rude, disrespectful, and impertinent. I highly don't recommend going here the other Shakey's parlor in Washington st in Whittier CA greets you at entering their restaurant and definitely accepts the certificates here with no Hassel. They definitely give great service and definitely acknowledges you.
I would give a -5 star to la Habra location if possible but of course you have to rate something well they don't deserve no...
