Jess is a Superstar! I recently had an experience with The Fish Place that went above and beyond typical restaurant service, and it's all thanks to their amazing manager, Jess. While the food itself was delicious, it was Jess's dedication and problem-solving skills that truly made this review necessary. I had placed an order through DoorDash, and unfortunately, only half of my order was delivered. Frustrated and unsure of what to do, I contacted The Fish Place directly. That's when I had the pleasure of speaking with Jess. From the moment I explained the situation, Jess was incredibly empathetic and immediately took ownership of the issue, even though the delivery error was on DoorDash's end. She listened patiently as I explained what was missing and didn't hesitate to jump into action. What truly impressed me was that Jess didn't just shrug it off and tell me to deal with DoorDash (which, frankly, is what I expected). Instead, she went above and beyond to ensure I received the rest of my meal. Even after DoorDash seemingly left me to fend for myself, Jess personally made sure the missing items were prepared and got to me. Her commitment to customer satisfaction was truly remarkable. It's rare to find a manager who is so hands-on and genuinely cares about their customers' experience. Jess was doing it all! She was helpful, proactive, and her willingness to resolve the DoorDash mishap personally was a testament to her excellent management and dedication to The Fish Place. While the food at The Fish Place is undoubtedly worth trying, the exceptional service provided by Jess is a major reason why I will definitely be a returning customer. The sweet tea was everything- let me start there. The complimentary chips and salsa had a nice spicy flavor to it. It was delicious. The fried stuffed shrimp and crab avacado (not pictured) was okay. The batter was good but it lacked flavor the Louisiana-style remoulade sauce gave it a nice flavor. We had the seafood platter which consisted of 3 fried shrimp, 3 pieces of catfish & redfish, 3 oysters, 1 boudin ball, 1 stuffed jalapeno, & crab ball. We substituted the oysters for extra fish- they gave us 3 extra pieces of each type of fish. The batter was amazing great flavor and crunch. The fried cajun pork boudin ball was really very good. She wanted another. The crab ball was okay- it lacked flavor like the stuffed shrimp and crab avacado. The fried shrimp & fish was delicious... the fish she couldn't stop eating... the stuffed jalapeno well we were to full to try it so thats up in the air. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable of the menu. The food came out quick. Everything was served hot. Abd again, you'll definitely ve full. We wanted to try the BBQ beef...

We took my mother in-law to dinner for her birthday and the food was awful. It was five of us and not one of us liked our meals. My daughter had the gumbo. She ate one spoonful and said it was awful. I know that if she didn't eat her food, something was wrong. My food and my mother in-laws food came out cold. The remaining four of us ordered the seafood platter and it was awful. The food taste as though it was held over from the prior year, and the month is currently October. The food also taste like it came out of a box.

I have never gone to a seafood restaurant and not eaten my food nor wanted to box it up and take it home to eat the next day. We literally just left full plates of food on the table.

The drinks and the crab balls were good. If you do decide to go, which I don't suggest, order a drink and crab balls. The service was also good.
