Chinese Taste Fast Food — Restaurant in La Mirada

I had heard of this place from a friend and figured I’d be a bit cheaper than going with New China (can’t be beat, off Leffingwell and First). There’s a reason why fresh just tastes better. MSG wasn’t too bad here but the noodles were blah, same with rice. We had orange chicken (too breaded), jalapeno chicken (best of the choices we had and nice spicy kick), teriyaki (giant portions of meat, let down by them not cutting them thinner) and mushroom chicken (not enough chicken but plenty of zucchini with it). Overall, food was ok for the price and portions are great (we had half the tray left for today's dinner) but the fresh taste is missing and flavoring is left out for the most part. This place used to be really good. I remember coming here to get food with my grandma before she passed away, and I always loved it! I wpukd regularly go here, but recently, the chow mein is always overcooked. The orange chicken is soggy, not in a good way, and tastes like it sits there awhile. I have been coming here every since they opened many years ago. I have always had a good experience here. I was going to my son's house and decided to order food for everyone at Chinese Taste. I ordered all large size chicken and broccoli, green beans chicken, jalapeno chicken, orange chicken, 2 chop suey vegetables, fried rice, chow mein noodles, chicken rice noodles, and kung pao chicken.
