Pete's Grill at PGA WEST — Restaurant in La Quinta

Recently renovated so the space looks nice and modern. Lots of hard surfaces, I am sure it would be very noisy on a busy day. Stopped in after a great round for a drink. There were maybe 10 customers and at least 1 bar tender and 3 servers. After a 15-minute wait with no greeting, we went to the bar for self-service and were told the servers were "too busy." We ordered from the bar, 3 beer, one with a side of clamato and a vodka soda. The order confused the bartender who had to remake the vodka soda twice and needed a couple of reminders of how many beer? Needless to say, we didn't bother even trying to have a bite to eat. Some of the renovation money should have been spent on staff training. Disappointing for this level...
