Quesadillas Doña Meche — Restaurant in Lacey Township

This place is everything you think of when you hear "hole in the wall". Today was my first time inside Quesadilla Dona Meche. I will be back. They give you fresh chips to start with salsa. I got the Birria Tacos which are only available on Friday and Saturday. They were delicious! My husband got the poblano quesadilla with a side of avacado. They didn't charge us extra for the avacado unlike most places but let me tell you this quesadilla was the star. I will be getting this next time. We also got the chocolate cake. Ordered takeout around 7pm on a Sunday before 4th of July. The girl who answered the phone was friendly, quick and spoke clearly. She told me 15 minutes until the food was ready and when we got there 17 minutes later everything was ready and packaged and I was impressed with their speed and accuracy.

Food was delicious, substantial and very well priced. The quesadillas are huge and reminded me of a Stromboli or even a large crepe. Steak and chicharonnes filling was awesome and well seasoned. All lettuce was crispy and fresh which I really appreciated.

Their house verde salsa which they offered complementary when I picked up was very good.

I look forward to trying more from here...

Ever since going to Texas I always have been on the search for real authentic Mexican food. I can say I have found it. The people are amazing. They're friendly and had no problems answering any questions I had. I waited to do this review because I wanted to go there more than once. both times or great. The first time I ordered the empanadas the second time I ordered the short rib quesadilla with mushrooms. If you go there, give the corn tortillas a chance. I was never a huge fan of corn tortillas.
