Tried this place based on the reviews. Sunday dinner for four with no reservations and we were seated within 5 minutes. The staff was friendly but the star of the night was definitely a young man named Tyler. He was attentive, friendly and very responsive. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer and it was well fried and not greasy. The marinara sauce was chunky, robust and definitely homemade. The entrees we ordered were Veal Marsala, Chicken Francese and Shrimp Scampi. All were served with angel hair pasta and drenched in it’s specific sauce that were all a bit one note. The scampi lacked acidity and needed salt. The Veal Marsala was overkill with the mushrooms and the sauce was a murky brown watery sauce that needed time to thicken and just wasn’t great to look at. The chicken Francese needed salt and just a kick of something to bring it together. Overall it wasn’t terrible but it just needed some punch of flavor. The staff is very nice and the ambiance is a bit outdated but it’s a nice local establishment. I would try it again to see if it was just an off night for seasoning as well as pasta variety.

Biagio’s is really our go to place….we go there often, but we were a bit disappointed with the food tonight, not what we expected. First we were disappointed that we did not get to try the osso buco, one of our main reasons for reserving on Father’s Day, needless to say we ordered something else! I have had the best veal saltimbocca there before, but not tonight! Something was off, can’t put my finger on it! But, luckily the Spaghetti and meatballs, my hubby’ s favorite, was very good! Dessert and cappuccino were as usual, delish! Hopefully we can get to the osso bucco next visit! One other slight disappointment: the surcharge for using a credit card! Sad to see they had to resort to this!

Cozy atmosphere, great waitresses and the busses keep picking up the empty plates. Food portions are gigantic, come hungry PR take it hone. We ordered an appetizer each, I had crab stuffed mushrooms, my spouse Calarmi. We could not believe how big it was, enough food for four people,, next a good sized salad, then our entree. Needless to say ninety percent of our meal is coming home. The entrees were a work of culinary art! We saw other meals coming out, bacon wrapped scallops were huge, the raviolies looked good too, I saw a serf and turf come out for a cutomer too, fabulous entrees. Have a Happy Valentines Day! ❤❤❤

I ate dinner here with my family. Which consisted of three adults and two children, my God son is 3 and didn’t eat. There was only one waitress, and We had to keep asking the bus boy to get us our refills on our drinks and remove The piles of empty dishes from our table.the bus boy would roll his eyes at us, and was rubbing his hair. My pasta dish cost $41. It was the wrong pasta and had no sauce or flavor , when I complained the waitress never offered me another dish or replacement meal. Again Our drinks were empty and I had to ask the bus boy for a third time for our refills. Our bill was over $200, and we saw that they automatically added a tip. Their policy is, for groups of six or more they add gratuity, But we only had five people at our table. When I questioned the waitress about adding gratuity she stated even though the boy didn’t eat you have to pay. I kindly told her she was not deserving of over a $40 tip and there was only five people at the table. No manager ever came out to apologize or speak with us about the mistakes or constantly needing a busboy to refill our drinks. Even though a female manager was seen stopping at every other table to say hello and check on the patrons. Overall for the price the food was subpar, I can get the same quality of seafood at the local Chinese buffet. We wanted so badly to enjoy this restaurant but we were not treated warmly, The service sucked, mistakes were made with a $41 dish, and to boot she gave herself a tip without counting the actual amount of patrons...

I went for dinner last night with the wife to Biagio’s. We started off with the nice, fresh, Cold Antipasto. Its large enough to make you full! My wife ordered her "I'm not sure what I want" go to, Chicken Francese, which she loved and always has leftovers! I ordered the Capellini Alla Esterina for the first time. Its Jumbo Sea Scallops & Jumbo Shrimp, Sundried Tomatoes tossed with Angel Hair Pasta and finished in a Sherry Wine Cream Sauce. They ran low on Scallops so gave me an abundance of the Jumbo Shrimp. They also gave me $10 discount on the dish, which they did not have to do, but that's what they are all about, taking care of customers like family! I grew up in Bergen County in the family’s restaurant businesses so you can say I am a little spoiled when it comes to fresh food and good service. When I go out to a "sit down" restaurant, like Biagio's, I expect fresh, from scratch, food. That's exactly what I get at Biagio's. Everything from the soups, the sauces, the meats, and the seafood are made fresh. Nothing is "pre-bagged". Depending on when you go, you can hear them pounding out the Chicken and Veal or you know that they are prepping the Fresh Seafood (I've peaked in the kitchen) they buy from the fish market not a restaurant supply house. One thing that I have always lived by (it annoys the wife) I never give a restaurant at this level or higher a second chance. We have been frequenting Biagio's since they...

Unfortunately, We didn’t find any relationship between all the five star reviews and our experience. We arrived with two couples for a nice dinner evening and based on the reviews we had high expectations. The restaurant was full and as a result we were very patient about the service. We had to ask a couple times for the waitress to open our wine. Once we placed our order we never saw her again. We ordered dinner at 5:40 PM and it was finally delivered to our table at 6:50 PM. While we were starving by then… Our expectations for a five star meal were dashed when the food came lukewarm. Even that didn’t bother us so much but the salmon two of us ordered was tasteless and inedible. The The grouper was OK and the chicken dish with smothered and so much ricotta cheese that you couldn’t taste anything but the cheese. We had to share water around the table because our glasses were never refilled. While we normally would not be complaining about the price for four people which was close to $200 with a tip the food did not live up to the reviews. I’m sorry to say that we unfortunately will never be back. I hope the owners of the restaurant find this review helpful and trying to clean...
