Blanchard's Barbeque — Restaurant in Lafayette

3rd time eating here in the past month. Working near it now so it will be my favorite place when I pickup lunch. The BBQ is outstanding !! The sauces are good (tasted them all) but i don't care for mustard with bbq so I don't use that one. I really like the root beer sauce. Wish there was a traditional option as well. I love coleslaw with bbq to balance the mild cool creamy with the savory however for me their slaw is too flavor packing and not typical slaw. While it taste good it has a mexican flare flavor to me so I wont order again to go with bbq. The potato salad also tastes good but just not my type of potato salad, too vinegary for me so for me doesn't balance the savory meats. THE BEANS!!! I could eat them every day! Had the nachos too. Very good ! I love that when ordering the brisket they ask if i want lean, fatty or a mixture of both. The staff has always been super nice and helpful, however one of the girls can sound rude over the phone ( i think she's actually just working so fast and hard ) and when you see her, she has a look that comes off as not so nice but then when she talks to you is so nice and helpful too. The food was to die for! My cousins and I had a get together and we spent almost $160 on BBQ getting a pound of each meat. When I tell we couldn’t wait to dig in once they brought the plates out it looked so good. The ribs sticky or normal are so tender and juicy almost fall off the bone but it still has a bite to it. The lean and fatty brisket was phenomenal I’m talking pull apart to the touch tender and the smoke ring and the glistening inter muscular fat looked so good. You don’t even need their sauces because the BBQ by itself is just a treat. Don’t even get me started on the Birria Tacos they were so good stuffed to the brim with meat,cheese,and everything between. After about an hour everything was said and done we all felt stuff,full,and extremely satisfied that we chose this spot.

The staff were very quick to clean a table and get us seated after we ordered and not even 5 minutes or so our food was out on the table ,the wait time was minuscule. Plus they were checking up on us and were impressed this group of 4 could tackle that much BBQ. Went there again and it was AWESOME AGAIN! The BEST BBQ in La. Taste as good as TEXAS BBQ. We got the brisket, pulled pork and ribs. FANTASTIC! It just melts in your mouth, so tender and tasty. The hand cut fries were the best we have ever had and the smoked pork and beans have BBQ in them. Can't wait to taste the corn casserole and potatoe salad. YUM. The prices are not cheap, but neither is the quality. You don't just get what you pay for, you get MORE. You can taste the love. The staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. PLAN AHEAD before you go. They are open from 10:30 - 2:30 on Tuesday - Saturday. They had a continuous long line, but it moved quickly. There are menus as you come in, so if you are new, or not, you can pick one up and look it over as you wait your turn. They also make their own BBQ SAUCES. Remarkable!
