Diggity Street Eats — Restaurant in Lafayette

We ordered the brat (which had good reviews 2/5 stars- it was boiled but had good toppings), fried chicken sandwich (1/5 stars for a good slaw, but the chicken was bone dry and the breast was missing over half of the breading), smash burger w/GF bun (2/5 stars because it was dry as can be, there was mayyybe a tsp of aioli which was actually good, but the pickles were great and the gf did not disintegrate!). The service was poor and the one cook was rude. Where this place earned its second star overall was the frites. The fries were great- crispy, golden, and tasted like they were cooked in clean oil. Love Acreage but this food truck is astonishingly overpriced and subpar. Paid $14.69 for an order of oily truffle fries (including a 4% kitchen surcharge (c’mon it’s a food truck not a fully staffed restaurant) plus an additional prompt for 22% service (sorry not doing that when I have to scan a QR code and order myself on my phone and then come back and get the food myself)....

Worst meal we’ve had in a while. Food is overpriced, lacking flavor and generally not good. Chicken had little flavor and was dry and tough. We ate it only because we were hungry and needed to eat prior to heading home. Would come back for the drinks but next time...
