Golden buffet — Restaurant in Lafayette

My friends and I, once again looking for a haven to satisfy our hunger, went to “Golden Buffet” walking out of the car, I noticed the beautiful dragon heads slightly hanging downwards. When averting my gaze, I noticed that the side was wheel chair accessible (BOOYEAH!) walking into Golden Buffet, the greeter smiled and guided me to my battle station. Meeting up with my friends however, it had looked like they had already lost the war. Most of them had only taken a bite of two of their food before surrendering to its sorcery. Skeptical, I decided to try it for myself. I settled on the lo mein, orange chicken, and egg roll. I battled it out and was close to being satisfied. However, this was not the end. I go here pretty often but today the over powering strong smell of bad seafood almost knocked me out at the entrance. Seafood should never smell like that. Like anyplace, everyone can have an off day and usually most of the food is good , sometimes some items can be hit or miss and seem to be more misses than when they first opened so i dont even go as often. Today was awful. I stayed away from all the seafood and only got a few little items. My bill wasn't even $5 I got so little. When returning to work and opening my box, that smell hit me. I love Chinese food. I eat it out and make it at home. I went here for lunch. There was not a single thing I tried here that I would want to eat again. The sushi had very little flavor and what flavor the fish had was muddy and it was mushy. The krab salad seemed stiff and dry even though in mayo. All the fried food had a common taste which I would guess came from the oil used; it all had a very plasticky flavor or chemical flavor. The salmon was very mushy and tasted off. The rest of the food I tried was very blase' and tasteless. The service was superb and the restaurant was beautiful and clean but the food seemed to be prepared from the cheapest ingredients possible...
