I don't expect everything to be perfect all the time. Mistakes will be made but how you as a business handle your mistakes is how you will be judged. My review for my third visit will be my last. I am so disappointed with my last visit. Table of four dining in. One of the party asked if they had gumbo during the order taking period. The server said yes so the gumbo was ordered. The other three ordered breakfast. During a very busy time we didn't mind waiting 30 mins for our orders to come out. Unfortunately the food server held one of the plates where the food was actually touching her jacket. Which is unacceptable practice she said she was sorry but didn't offer to make the plate again. So of course I insisted the plate was made again and of course she said it'll take a while but I didn't care. Secondly the gumbo that was ordered 30 minutes prior was not delivered and we were told that it didn't serve gumbo today. We should have been informed of that 30 minutes earlier when we asked if they served gumbo. The glass of milk ordered was never delivered to the table. Bottom line your food is good your service is atrocious. I will not spend another penny in your establishment. I have reduced your four-star rating to a well-deserved one star ................... Previous review starts here I have visited t-coons two times now. I had red beans and rice and the breakfast plate. I enjoyed the food on both occasions.I will be going back for the breakfast again. The service was almost unpleasant during both my visits. It's like they don't listen to you answering your questions rudely or making assumptions for you without asking. Sometimes I ask myself why do I even bother writing theses reviews. People just make excuses and don't try to learn from a review. This place should be a hidden gem from top to bottom.

My prayers were answered when I was looking for a unique Louisana-Cajun-Hole-in-the-wall-creole type of restaurant where I could have a non-traditional type of breakfast last minute as I was heading back to Texas. THANK YOU JESUS!!! I didn’t even have to get on my phone to search a restaurant. This place is just what I was looking for (except the hole in the wall although it does seem to be in a shopping center built in the 1950s that never got a facelift). What really drew me in was when I saw young teenagers, middle aged adults and elderly people walking into a restaurant during rush hour traffic on a school day!!! I would never let my kids skip class to go eat at mediocre restaurant!!! Would you?! And my theory was right. Food was good, service was great, place was clean and not over priced!!!! I honestly haven’t had that feeling of satisfaction and happiness when leaving a breakfast joint in a long time. THANK YOU JESUS!!! I’m def coming back if I’m ever in the area.

I was told to come here for breakfast and I'm glad I did. This place is a breath of fresh air for breakfast. My waitress, Heidi, was very helpful with the menu and is a bundle of energy. If you order coffee be ready for the entire pot to come to your table. The brisket omelette with creamed spinach was incredible! If you love brisket, I highly recommend it. They make homemade toast and the hash browns are fabulous. The walls are are decorated with a lot of great things to look at. Got to look at the entire place to soak it all in. It was a special treat watching the staff doing something with the register with tape. Love the energy. I highly recommend this place. If you drive by too fast you'll miss it. What a treat!!!!

This place is running purely on reputation alone these days. Food is overpriced and not good anymore. Had jambalaya for lunch a few weeks back and it was mushy and had bones in it. Barely took a few bites before discarding. Decided to give it another chance and took the family for breakfast the other day. A few things, seating was terrible, for one. There isn't alot of space and I had to sit as close to the table as possible so that the staff could pass. The glass table sat atop and shaped tree trunk and my family hurt their knees on it several times. The prices were ridiculous and the wait was long. My coffee was extremely bitter and the spoon to stir it was rusted. The spoon was already in the coffee when they gave it to me. Then came the food. It was so bad the my entire family barely ate any of theirs. the sausage patties were like rubber. The pancakes tasted like batter and the sausage gravy was god awful. Looked like they scraped the bottom of the pan and it was gray in color. The waitress didn't even charge us for it but still put it all over the biscuits, making them inedible as well. The biggest waste of money I've ever paid. Had to take the family to eat elsewhere after leaving there. I will...

Waitress was highly passive aggressive towards me the entire time I dined. Refused to bring me water when I asked several times. The blonde with high pitch voice, I do not recommend her as a waitress. She made me feel like I was asking for gold when all I needed was a glass of water. When my food came she said, “Is that fast enough for you!” Like what? Still didn’t have a glass water at my table. Kept telling me she was busy and clearly was not going to get me a glass of water. Waiting on other tables near me and deliberately was saying passive aggressive statements for me to hear. She kept looking at me and kept refusing to service my table. She waited on tables next to me and skipped me several times. I was frustrated because she was condescending towards me.

I am never rude to waitstaff because I have family that has been in hospitality industry and know how people can be. Wait staff is the face of your business. I suggest she gets an attitude adjustment or find something else to make a paycheck.

I normally eat at T coons when I’m in town visiting family. The food is always great. I hope my next visit will be more...
