So my family and I went on a road trip to Florida and we got hungry passing through Louisiana so we decided to stop at Cousins for some diner and everything from start to finish was bad. It was a busy night and I understand that but first of all it took a waiter 15 minutes to come get our drink order and took another 15 to 20 minutes to bring us 3 iced teas and 1 water. Iced tea was super sweet to the point to where we couldn’t drink it and we ended up getting un sweet tea. We placed an order for a couple of appetizers which took 25 minutes to come out and during those 25 minutes it took the waitress 20 minutes to come and ask if we were ready to order, at that point we where ready to leave but decided to stay since we had already been there for a good hour. We ordered humus and Parmesan shrimp platter, shrimp platter was really good but the humus tasted like packaged humus not fresh made, also the pita bread was stale and breaks too easy, also looked like packaged pita bread because it’s perfectly round. After the appetizers were gone we sat for another 50 minutes waiting on our meals and when our food finally came out it was cold and flavorless. My son had the lamb lollipops which were raw and he asked for medium well, my wife and daughter had grilled JUMBO shrimp which where not JUMBO at all and I had grilled shrimp and cat fish which was not grilled accordingly. Food was cold, rice had no flavor at all and we could tell that everything was cooked in a hurry which made our food not enjoyable. It was a busy night and this is not the waitress’s fault but the owner should really look into taking care of this issues since we are not the only ones that this happened has happened too reading from past reviews. Definitely over priced for the quality and taste of the food. Definitely won’t stop at this place again and it would be great if they wouldn’t lie to their customers on their menu when they say JUMBO shrimp when really they are just large...
Read moreNot as Lebanese as we had expected, more of a steak and seafood house. I found that an 8 oz. filet, some cold rice and cold green beans cost me $39.99. We were there to have dinner with multiple people for a friend's birthday and were charged a gratuity of $20.00. We had our 9 and 11 year old children with us and discovered there is no kids menu. We ordered 3 entrees and it came to $129. I want to express that I object to being automatically charged a gratuity when I'm not happy with the quality of the food or service. There were 13 people at our table and one waitress. She was friendly but unavailable. My wife had to ask 3x for a glass of cabernet, our waters were only filled once and sat empty the rest of the long wait. My wife and son were sharing the 16oz ribeye and an extra plate never came to put his half of the meal on. The ribeye served was 50% all fat and inedible. When mentioning it to the waitress they did send us home with an amazing perfectly trimmed and cooked ribeye. We would have mentioned the issue earlier had she returned to check on us. On a final note, the 3rd entree we ordered was the catfish and it was the best we had ever had. We will give this place a 2nd try some other time but not with kids as it is not kid friendly. 30 to 40 dollars to feed a kid ...
Read moreI tried this restaurant during Chuck Eats restaurant week with a to go meal. We had hummus, gumbo, sampler, tuna, chocolate cake and baklava. The hostess/take out person was Annie and she was almost my favorite part of it wasn’t for the baklava. Annie made several suggestions on the phone for my choices and cooking preferences. I arrived early to pick up my order. And she made the wait so enjoyable discussing food and local restaurant choices. On to the food.
Appetizers: Hummus and pita very good. Obviously in house prepared. Gumbo chicken and sausage. Flavor very good comes with rice and potato salad. I’m a picky potato salad person. This was was on the sweet side, with mustard and chunky. I liked it. But I always want potato salad details. Bacon wrapped dates (not on restaurant week) but they were amazing!
Entree Tuna: delicious large portion I liked the terikaki sauce. Rice was so good. Grilled shrimp were a good size and very nice flavor. Sampler plate (only for restaurant week) steak and chicken very good with rice and fried shrimp. Lamp lollipops best cooked lamb I’ve had in a while.
Dessert: get the Baklava! It was amazing!!! And the chocolate cakes was my kid’s favorite.
