El Dorado Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Lake Charles

We love coming here. Always a great meal and experience. From the hostess greeting us at the door, the man who brings us chips & salsa, the bartender making our drinks, to the server taking our order, this place has some of the friendliest staff. The food is always fresh and the restaurant is always clean. It is a smaller location so call ahead if you have a larger party. Perfect for margs with the girls or a dinner date with your partner. Sadly it’s another “Mexican” restaurant that hasn’t learned what actual Mexican food is. Aside from the friendly wait staff there would have been nothing but 1 stars. The place itself is SMALL so don’t try to come here if you have any sort of anxiety or claustrophobia. The food is either cold, under cooked, raw or just yuck. Nothing is homemade. This was a perfect recommendation from the locals. Was great food and the service was on point. I had the chimichanga mixed with grilled steak and chicken. DJ was very attentive and polite. Especially after being the only servir on the floor when I came which was around 4pm usually a slow time but it really wasn’t slow at all.
