I have been hearing a lot about this place, so I was excited to try it. My expectations were very high.
When I got there (middle of lunch rush) there was a long line, but it moved quickly. There was a steady flow happening - 5/5 on that. Cashier was nice.
I got the #5 medium, but it wasn’t very spicy. The blazin sauce is good - I wish I had gotten extra (note: the sliders are very dry without the sauce). All the food I ate was fresh, hot, and nicely presented. If you don’t like Coleslaw, ask them to leave it off - it comes on the slider itself (I thought it was gonna be on the side), 5/5 for the food.
I was unimpressed with the atmosphere. It was warm and humid inside, and the floors had that gross film on it that you often find at fast food chains like McDonald’s or Wendy’s, and the floor in front of the counter was dirty. However, the tables were clean.
The dining area is small, and there is no music. Some kind of music in the background would have been really nice. It felt awkward not having any.
The place was almost full, but the only people talking was a noisy group of teens/young adults? sitting in the back (but due to the size of the dining area, you could hear their whole conversation from any area in the restaurant).
One guy in the group was flirting with the cashier, and they periodically would yell at each other from opposite ends of the restaurant. 3/5 for atmosphere.
Verdict: I would order food here again, but it would be to-go. Personally, the atmosphere isn’t my vibe.
But I enjoyed the food enough to wish this local...
Read moreReally good for all you "yard bird" fanatics, and late night "munchie" seekers.** Must take caution to the levels of "heat" that is available to choose from. It gets dangerously spicy, and I'm full blooded Cajun....ooowewe! dat got me one time, but I learned my limits off top sha,let me tell you what! But back to the actual food... Love the menu and all the choices are worth coming back to. Great for the "in & out" or drive thru because it's a very busy parking lot. But please, don't let that be an issue, because it's never been a problem for me to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere they provide. Clean, comfortable, and the staff is always in the joking mood for the whole experience... Bring your friend that swears they are immune to spicy food and watch the moment when they realize it was just a thing that never truly was tested. FYI, if you are there late, you should get to watch the experience with perfect strangers. The staff knows the routine, and they have a good time with it as well. This place definitely lives up to the name 📛. But it's not all HOT...Trust me, it's got something for everybody in there, just gotta go getcha some....
Read moreFirst time visiting this location of the Dave’s Hot Chicken knockoff. I really don’t understand why this place isn’t more busy. The food is way better than most of their competitors and blows Cane’s out the water while still delivering a good value.
The roomie decided on her classic slider with level 3 (medium) heat. Her biggest complaint was the absence of any amount of spice. This seems to be a consistency issue because the medium was perfect for her in the past.
I decided to try their only original item, the Mac and cheese Crunchwrap. I would not recommend it. There was no crunch (tostada?) in the Crunchwrap and the ratio of mac to chicken was too heavily weighted to mac. I feel like it could be great if the recipe is tweaked. If you do decide to order the mushwrap, consider upping your spice selection one level as the Mac will neutralize the spice. I ordered the extra hot and was still burning for more spice.
Still a good place, but stick to the tendies...
