Food was great, however, the woman answering the phone (the bigger one, not the smaller nice one) could not tell me what was in the tuna handroll or the spicy salmon roll. After placing an order with my requested add ins through the website at 6:45pm she called and I had to rephrase my original question of "what is inside the handroll aside from the tuna. She then proceeded to say she didn't understand and I asked if it had rice or cucumbers included in it already and she had NO CLUE. Arrived to pick up my order 25 minutes later (two simple handrolls) and the other woman working had to check not once BUT TWICE, after standing there for an additional 10 minutes. The chef had not even received the order. Im not sure if the large girl answering the phone just wanted to act like a b** or if I had actually insulted her ego by simply asking what a menu item has included in it. Dissatisfied by initial customer service by the woman who answered the phone and the amount of time it took to make 2 regular handrolls. It clearly isn't the chefs fault nor the nice brown haired woman who went out of her way to help me as it had been almost 40 minutes. The manager needs to educate the big woman on menu items if she's going to answer the phones for guests and in addition to that ACTUALLY send the order to the chef, not be salty and have me wait 40 minutes because she's salty for realizing how ignorant she actually sounds. Which is beautifully presented and was nicely delivered by the one person who was holding down the fort. The bartender! My son wanted to have more food and I was looking to place an order after our initial meal, but there was no one around. The person who took our first order was gone. There was a young lady near, behind the "coffee bar" doing I don't know what, maybe preparing to go orders. So I told her I'd like to place an order. She said someone would be right there. There was another young lady with her. Neither took our order. I waited for a long while and my son began to snack on my food so I asked her to please take my order. She raised her arms and shrugged, said, well, I'm busy. And did nothing more. I'm busy. You should not employ entitled immature people!! It's unacceptable!! Then I got up and walked to the other room, up to the bar, and asked the overwhelmed bartender to place an order. One single order because my son was still hungry. Apparently getting the sake hot was too much of a task for her. I had to leave. She didn't apologize or acknowledge bringing out a wet bottle to my table, she wouldn't even look my way when I asked her for napkins to wipe off the wet bottle she brought me then instead of apologizing and trying to problem solve, she tried to blame the machine. I'll never know how good the food is because I will never return, not even to use the bathroom.
If the owner wants to know what it's like to have a server that represents the company well and provides exceptional service to EVERYONE, you better pray cause Vanessa isn't the one. She's a liability for your company.
